Good move, I think.

Get him back up to speed, use him to give Benny a kick up the arse

Didn't it say he is going back next week?

Edit: so slow, made that schoolboy error of not refreshing the thread before posting. Carry on!

Was really hoping he came back to play for us. The way Benny has played after his injury is below par, and his positioning is horrendous. Rose would be a good alternative. But hopefully Benny just need some time with AVB's philosophy for things to work.

Let's just hope Rose is fit for fight again soon, as he needs all the match experience he can get. I do believe he can come back and do a good job for us in the summer.

Happy with this: After half a season away in the frozen footballing wasteland that is Mackemshire it'll be good to remind him what a proper football club looks like.

Supposedly been very poor since his return from injury. Really should not be our number one option for me next season

He hasnt been as good as he was earlier season but I think is down to fitness tbh, he was rushed back but he has better than the other 3 in defence. I still think we should give him half a season if he gets full fitness

lNot long back from the injury, and rushed back a bit because he was consideered better than Sunderland's other options, so may well need time to get back to where he was (just as I wouldn't rush Younis Kaboul back even though he played last night - but Sunderland seemed to with Rose). He played about 20 games before his injury and was considered one of Sunderland's better players by their fans.

There are about half a dozen games left for him at Sunderland to see if he can recapture his early season form, a summer rest and the pre-season before Spurs really need take any final decision.

has started really well again, dont knw why we loaned him out

A team like Sunderland do not look to dominate possession like spurs do. He constantly just played the ball up the line or cleared it into touch. Looking good for a team relegation is alot different then being effective for a team in the top 6 of the prem.

no he didn't and if he is given a chance next season he will end up a top class LB for us next season

Exactly my thoughts. Passing was very poor on the whole and lacked composure. Looked exactly the same player to me as the one we loaned out. Able to use his pace to his advantage but still rash diving into tackles and limited positionally and passing. A step up on Ekotto who is completely out of form but I would still rather see someone new in

17 passes with 41% pass completion. Guess that means 7 passes completed in 90 minutes? Not for me.

I haven't seen much of him and I know Sunderland aren't very expansive in their play but does he makes intelligent runs forward?

No. I think he went forward once all game. Less than when he was with us
