Obviously a load of rubbish. The problem with this cycle of bullshit is now it gets featured on the BBC's gossip page and in the next few days there will be others reporting this as if it's genuine but covering themselves by saying 'reports The Sun..' or '..linked with'. When they all know it's a lie. Another lie.

Agreed and I guarantee that Mark Chapman or one of his pundits will cite this 'story' in one of the BBC's football programmes on the radio or TV this weekend.

This is how the shit gets spread. They don't ever question the source, they just cite any old shit as long as it feeds their narrative, which at the BBC reads:

  1. Manchester United
  2. Manchester United
  3. Manchester United

I think you are right - if we finish top four for the 2nd season in a row then Levy will have reached a moment of truth - he will have a true CL level squad, is he going to pay them CL level wages? Rose, Walker, Toby, Alli, they are all players that could easily earn over £100k elsewhere, he's going to have to increase the wage budget to keep this squad together.

And that he will do, he did it with Kane and I believe that he will eventually do it with others, whether he'll increase it which will match our rival's wages is another matter entirely.

The thing is and we've seen it with England to some degree where they aren't the same players. The Rose and Walker you get at Tottenham is different than the Rose and Walker you'd get at another club. Pochettino adds that extra 10/15% to their games.

It does annoy me that as soon as we get players that are the best in their positions that newspapers are desperate to flog them to one of the Manchester clubs.

Same happened with Kane.

Mind you, I feel quite confident this won't happen as Rose has been in press saying how much he loves Poch and pretty much same with Walker really.

It's also really good to think we have the best pair of full backs / wing backs in the league!

The good thing about us at the moment is we have a lot of young English players who have come through to the first team with us (rather than being bought from elsewhere as finished product) and there seems to be a real togetherness and they all wouldn't want to be parted from Poch.

Unlike maybe Arsenal where some of the star players have jumped ship as soon as Man City flash some higher wages at them.

Even when our form was a bit patchy this season I felt strong faith in Poch as the players so obviously believe in him so much and this plays a vital role in ensuring they stay with us for the long-term - this combined with our upcoming stadium, which will be one of the if not the best in league and our top notch state of the art training ground.

Also, once stadium done we should be able to compete wage-wise with our fellow English clubs so will then only have the Barca's and Madrid's of this world to fear losing players too.

Don't read too much into rumours, I really don't expect anything major to happen in January.

60M for 2 young England international is a joke. With the prices both Manchester clubs are paying, if they really want them... It should be 60M each.

We have no need to sell. The players are happy. So unless they break the bank... Nothing's gonna change.

If we win the league then you know the papers the next morning will read 'Utd and City to offer £1b for Tottenham first XI'

To be fair you can't blame Rose and Walker for wanting to go to better teams.

*looks at Premier League table from last season*

*looks at current Premier league table*

Hang on a minute....
Nope but all players want the money. We are going to have to up there wages again

Obviously a nothing story with zero chance of happening. But since some people think that any of our lads would leave to play on more money in Manchester, just don't know Tottenham and our lads. If any of them wanted to leave for another prem side they all wouldn't have on mass signed contract extensions. Then look at our squad, the players genuinely love playing for each other and especially for poch and now for the second year in a row we have the best side in the country. With a little luck we could have easily won the title last year and if Chelsea slip up this year we'll be all over them before they are even able to begin sucking off their Russian sugar daddy. Why would u want to leave Tottenham? Only if u r going to the very top, and only barca, real and maybe bayern can offer that.

We should understand our place and allow Walker and Rose to leave. It is the right thing to do. Who are we to hold them back from achieving such great heights? We should be honored that Manchester United is even looking at our players. #Blessed
