I have to say this has proper fucked me off, there is no coming back from this. However with his attack on the fans, I think he has one particular moment in mind. When we played Chelsea away under Sherwood and lost 4-0 (I think), Rose was sat in the upper tier towards the front with a friend and I assume the friends child. He had his hood up, but some fans recognised him and had pictures with him etc. However as the game went on and we started getting torn apart, some 'fans' started turning on him and abusing him. It got so aggressive, that a couple of my Dads mates had to help get him out of the ground before Full time. The kid he was with was in tears, and my Dad's mate said you could see genuine fear in Rose's eyes. I lost a lot of respect for some of our fans that day, and the blokes that were doing it I see go home and away near enough every game. Complete and utter ****s.

I always knew this would come back to haunt us, and I think it's understandable why he has no loyalties to us as fans. If you read that part of the interview again with this situation in mind, I think you can see how much it affected him.

However with the timing of this interview, and for everything else he has said he can fucking do one.

I've had a feeling this would be the case all summer myself. The stuff he said before about big signings laid the foundations for me, as he's clearly expecting something that just isn't us.
Yep, but more worrying is that there are other players who will feel the same.

I know I keep banging on about it, but go read the last couple of Goat bleats, which were widely poo-poo'd.

People aren't poo-pooing so much now :D

Maybe this make us move for Sessegnon?

He recently signed a new deal, but all that will do is make us have to pay more. Sessegnons is one of those rare Alli/Bale type talents and I'm sure he could slot straight in as a backup for Davies before being the first choice later this year/next year

Silver lining and all that

If i could sell my soul now by getting a mega rich investor to take over, double all the wages and keep this team together for another 5 years i would.

Thats the only way we'll keep it together now.

If his position at the club is no longer tenable and his relationship with Pochettino has broken and he wants to move to United I hope we can somehow get Luke Shaw as part of a deal. It may be a downgrade in the short term, but it could prove to be a good move long term if Poch can get him back to the levels he was at when under him at Southampton.
There in lies the problem, Luke Shaw is probably earning double/treble what Rose is earning!

Having slept on it, I agree with absolutely everything he says. The timing of it is absolutely perfect as he said it before and during the window and he hasn't been listened to with only a few days til the season starts.

If we flog him this window we might as well go ahead and sell the rest of the first team now, he is our longest serving player and has been fantstic for us over the last few seasons.

Levy thinks he can hoodwink the fans and players, if Danny Rose wants to win things, we need to invest to try and win the PL.

We have demonstrated quite clearly that we don't want to try and win the league, all the other clubs at least give it a go.

I would expect Danny is speaking for many in the squad when he says they are accepting lower wages as they think they are on to something good at Spurs, but the board don't want to put their foot on the accelerator, if they don't do it now, they never will.

Why do people keep saying this? We tried for months to sign Sessegnon and he turned us down.

You want to leave to win medals Danny? 3 seasons ago you were on your way out, playing for fucking Sunderland mate. You're lucky Poch persisted with you and didn't focus on his signing Davies. You are what you are because of him, so if you want to win medals, then you fucking stay and fight with us for them.

I agree, I think this will be his last season with us. The worry as the Goat says is that a lot of our other players probably feel the same way, Dier, Ali, Toby, Eriksen. I think next summer is going to be a massive problem for Levy.

I'm not surprised by what Rose has said - this has a very 'I'll give you one more season' feel.

What annoys me is the timing of this a few days before we start our season, shut up and focus!

People don't like to hear bad news. It's hard to take in. Doesn't mean it's not worth sharing.

If he wants to go after this season then let him go for 50mill and gets Sessegnon for 25mill, problem solved with a profit.

There is a underlying level of frustration coming from all angles which is far from ideal. We have to adapt to market conditions or we will fall and fall quickly

Rose wil be the first of many who know they can move to a bigger club on more money.

This is the consequence of assembling a top quality squad on a shoestring and modest wages. The big clubs see us as easy prey and will continually attack and disrupt.

This is the big worry. Let's be honest - we all know we have been on borrowed time due to the wages we pay compared to our rivals, it can't last. Rose is the first to speak out but you can be sure that many others (if not all the players) will be thinking the same thing. This could be the beginning of the end of this squad and inevitably Poch as manager. I REALLY hope it does not come to that but I believe that unless the club handles this situation in the right way (which in my view is to be realistic with our wage structure and move it up a level) we could be looking at a disaster that could derail the club and send us back to mid-table mediocrity for another decade.

Yes I'm being dramatic but it really could be this serious.

No doubt, then again perhaps it's how you conduct yourself off the field, ill feeling or not. Toby comes to mind at the moment.

I blame the retarded Spurs fans on this very site who criticised him back in the day.

He didn't deserve it then and I can understand why he would say a big fu to those people.

I still read now that before Poch he was rubbish, Rose was a very good fb and developed into a World class fb.

Everything he said in that interview is fair enough.
Does Rose think he would have had an easier ride from the fans of Man U had he played for them when he was average?
I don't agree with abusing players (or anyone come to that), but fans do become disgruntled when players keep making mistakes, and when you're a defender, those mistakes are costly.

I've always liked Rose and hope we keep him. Maybe he loves Spurs and would rather earn more money with us? Just a silly boy for being too open in the media. Walker, I believe (according to some sources) was asked to leave after crossing Poch. I wonder how Poch will handle this?

He has made his position untenable with these comments, never booed anyone in lillywhite but I can't bear the thought of him in our shirt anymore, fuck him off this window please.

No that's what he wants. And the bigger picture hurts u as a Club.

Time to put an end to some of this player power.

I think a lot of people are starting to feel really disillusioned with football, it's becoming a fucking joke.

Him and all of our shiny new signings which haven't happened because other clubs are now smart to how we operate in a transfer window and don't take Levy's shit?
