Is Raya actually any good with his feet? I’ve seen a couple of videos where he keeps giving it away around his box. But could just be classic YT highlights not giving the full picture.

His mid-range passing was really decent in the game against us. Was picking out players in a way Lloris could barely dream of. Can't really remember how good his short range passing was.
Found an old scouting report from Brentford's Championship days with the line:
In our analysis of goalkeepers outside the top five leagues, the Spanish shot-stopper was arguably the most impressive passer. Brentford averaged the third-most possession in the Championship this season, with 57.4%. Their short passing style was important here.
Don't think he's like an elite passer but still a massive improvement compared to Lloris in that dept.

He is 6ft1. Only 2cm shorter than Hugo. It seems the best option on the market for us so I won't mind those extra 2 cm.

I’d say he’s easily in the top 3 GK’s in the PL with his feet. In this regard, he’d be a huge leap in quality from Hugo.

They want the most they can get for him obviously but using Kepa is probably a terrible example. One of the biggest wastes of money ever, someone who they overpaid for and has flopped massively.

Yeah but by using Kepa as an example he's essentially saying "any keeper as good or better than Kepa must be worth at least 70m".
Not a bad way of framing it as a way of driving the price up.
TBH, even 30m seems a lot for a keeper with a year left on his contract to me, especially when Pope, a v.decent keeper, went for only 12m last summer.
20-25m seems more fair to me. Maybe 30m if you include a ton of add-ons.
