Dawson, who famously cannot play AVBs system, and is slow, and stupid, and dives in, has done pretty well since being back in the team.

Personally I think his determination makes up for a lot of his footballing shortfalls. However, what do the haters think of his recent form? Any snidey comments welcome.

Not sure I want to interrupt your conversation with yourself but I think he's done well. Don't want to sell him in Jan but if a big bid comes in we'll have to consider it. 8-10 mil

If we sell Parker and Dawson we'll end up with a pretty heart less team. We need those kind of old school players who'll throw themselves into and in front of anything. They are leaders and are good examples of how to make up for short comings through sheer will, heart and passion.

Dawson is one of my favorite Spurs players, not because I think he's a world class CB, but because of the way he conducts himself. Without his passion we'd be a lesser team.

I trust Dawson way more then i trust Gallas, and not because I think he is the best, but he does get himself in there, too bad about the injury, but said he should be fit for the next game. fingers crossed!

Dawson is fine but would/will he want to be 4th/5th in the pecking order @ Spurs or 1st at QPR. I dont know.

There's a dilemma imo because Dawson is better than Gallas but there's about £9-10m difference in value between the two. If we got a big offer for Dawson we should consider it.

Tell that to Sandro, Defoe, BAE, Walker, Lennon...

Maybe the value difference is because Gallas contract ends at the end of the season and we will not offer him another one given his age.....

Dawson has a long term contract and a few years left as a good CB so has a value of £8m-£10m or so.

Oh, they've got plenty of it, but Defoe or Lennon wouldn't throw themselves in front of the things that Dawson, Parker and Sandro does. They lead by example, and we need that. I can't imagine Defoe taking that shot to the head that Sandro did, for example. Different kind of attitude and Dawson and Parker, mainly, are very old school in their ways. Would be a sad thing to lose them.

I haven't seen anyone say Dawson is rubbish recently, but if they did they are an idiot.

He is in one of those situations where leaving the club is probably in the best interests of all parties, not that he wants to ideally but knows he is probably not even 3rd choice now. Gallas will be gone at end of season anyway and the money we'll get from Dawson is needed in other areas more than CB.

It will be a sad day when he leaves though. Will never forget him marking Morientes out of the game on his debut, and last year giving Sandro a proper bollocking on the pitch. Not many have the balls to do that ;)

And TBF, most of the people who had the balls do that don't have them anymore. They're on Sandro's mantelpiece in glass jars.

Pretty much what I was going to say. Despite his weaknesses it says a lot that our form has improved once he has had a few games. There's no doubt he is better than Gallas but I think he will be the first player Harry goes for in January.

I think defensively is where we have the most issues, so not sure where the money would be needed elsewhere? 2 clean sheets so far is not good enough, most of our problems come from defending, in saying that, i don't think Dawson would be the ideal candidate to get rid of...

Our best centre backs are Vertonghen and Kaboul and Caulker is excellent cover. We then only need one from Dawson or Gallas. If we give Gallas a free transfer we would save/make 2m. If we Sell Dawson we will make 8m

If the 8mil is invested into a quality first teamer then we should sell Dawson. If not we should keep him and get rid of Gallas

I want to keep him, really want him to stay. A really good pro, who would run through a brick wall for Tottenham and lets be honest his short comings arn't that bad, he's still a decent CB at this level. Would he look out of the place in the current Everton side , for example?

No he wouldn't. I think he would be more than happy to stay as third/fourth choice - and I think we are mad to sell someone who is so reliable and willing to play second fiddle.

I see nothing wrong with these four for up coming seasons: Kaboul, Vertonghen, Caulker and Dawson.

He's been with us a long time, a lovely guy (which can only be good for team spirit etc) and is a talented back up whatever way you cut it, having played with the likes of Kaboul numerous times over the last several years as well.

Keep Michael Dawson please.
