@SimonPeach: Dejan Lovren soon to leave #SaintsFC then, taking this summer's transfer income to £70million. Not bad on a £9million investment.

I fear they will really play hardball on Schneiderlin, and we too, so this one drags out until 2017 :cautious:

Interesting

Southampton manager Ronald Koeman insists the club have yet to receive an official offer from Liverpool for Dejan Lovren.

"We have had no bid from Liverpool for Lovren, that is the situation," Koeman told reporters. "If that does not change, he will continue to play at Southampton.
"We know there is a lot of interest in our players, I think that is normal. But we have to wait, we work on the team."

That news gives me a mad scientist, "verrrry iiiinteresting", kind of feeling. Especially in regards to Schneiderlin.

ITK says just north of £20m for him... not sure he's the best value for money out there

Don't understand where the interest in Joel Veltman has gone.. Technically excellent, young, not too expensive, not to mention the rewards reaped from signing Ajax players in the past.

£20m???? Wow saints have got a very good deal there. if that's true

Strikes me of a "lets chuck a stupid number out there and see if anybody's gulible enough to pay it" type of figure.

Probably best placed in a different thread but I thought Liverpool were already looking like they'll struggle to meet the FFP guidelines (even with the Suarez money) be interesting to see if anything comes out

Almost 40m on Sakho and Lovren ? They're good players and that should be a good partnership, but fuck me we can't really compete with those fees for central defenders...

I've not seen enough of Lovren to form a rock solid opinion, but what I have seen (Southampton & Croatia) didn't exactly blow me away, certainly not to the tune of 20m.

He was terrible against us twice.

He looked Good in the world cup i have to say and yes i would have liked to see him in a spurs shirt but soon as the rumours Took it over 10 million i knew we were out of the game.
Dont know who we can get for low money now but Fair play to the pool they are going to do well this year they have bought well and Havent waited until last few days to do anything they have got a Good side now.
