Getting a superagent means he is as good as sold imo. For around 150m id suspect and to spain too. Dont mind tooo much as i actually think he is replaceable with a different type of player! Bring back bale and pocket the extra 80m we would have left over?
150 million and we could buy 3-4 good attacking players to strengthen the team. Wouldn't be the end of the world if he left although I'd rather keep the squad together.

Why £150?

If Dembele was £168m, Alli is £200m

Note just saying this, but there's definitely an argument we are a better TEAM with Son.not saying we are ,just saying there is an argument.Could dele have scored that first goal I very much doubt it .Not sure comparison his and son goals per game ,but doubt there's much in it.When we sold walker ,I never dreamt we could get an upgrade but we have.
If you look at fergies great sides ,he sold Ronaldo beckham Keane .Its not the end of the world, its when you sell and who you replace with. For me Dele is immensely replaceable. If say he went to Real,if he didn't score for 5 or 6 games they would be on his back big time. His goals save him getting a lot of stick. For £150m it's a no brainer imo.
There's only one irreplaceable player in our team and that's Kane.Even without his goals he is the heartbeat.

Not really how football is anymore.

Clubs don't rely on selling in order to buy like they once did.

The trouble we have with buying is getting players within our wage structure who are of the quality we require and we don't have a mega rich club coming in and offering the world.

Best way we can attract players is by keeping the likes of Alli.

I'd kind of forgotten that he was a CM when we signed him. Great game by Dele.

he could be dangerous playing deeper but still making those attacking runs into the box.

I made the comment after the 4-1 v. Man City in his first season that I thought he would be a Ross Barkley type player that would roam about, nutmegging people all over the shop, but he played such a mature and disiplined game that day that I was convinced he was something special.
Ironically, his next outings as part of a CM 2 were far less impressive, and more than once did we start Dembele as a 10, but had to switch them around since Alli was too sloppy in possession. By now, I had resigned myself to him being that maverick type of player that would be a liability as a pure CM.

Wrong again, it seems.

Was excellent both offensively and defensively. I think I read that he had the most interceptions, blocks and chances created on the pitch. Great game from Dele.

Can only agree, he was immense, and especially defensively. The new line up fitting in both Son and Dele was a masterstroke. It brought out all of Deles skills and covered up his flaws, and made room for another attacking minded player.

I've said many times that I've always seen his optimum position as a box to box player. Once he has the experience and temperament, he'll be extraordinary in that position. parallels with the likes of Gerrard and Pogba are accurate IMO.

Poch has used his raw talent superbly by playing him as a supporting attacking midfielder/forward... The sort of role the likes of Teddy and Let Tissier popularised in the 90s. As such he's mastering his scoring and creative instincts. With age and muscle will come the midfield powerhouse I reckon he'll be.

Already excellent, potential to be a world beater.

I watched a couple of his MK Dons YouTube clips last night just out of interest.Yes I know it’s youtube and I know it’s inferior opponents. But considering he was 18 he just looked so much more dynamic. Much less flicky if you know what I mean.Im sure last couple of years have been a whirlwind and hard to mentally stay focused. I have a feeling by next year he will have adjusted to everything much better, and we will start to see just how good he really is.

Too be honest he played a deeper role in MK Dons. You don't expect a CM to do that flicky thing too often as it is really risky. Now I think Dele is similar to Dier - can play in many positions (decently), but not sure which position is the best for him to flourish as a world class player

Not really with the spiralling costs of footballers thesedays.

Plus Dele knows our system and way of play, it’s nice to have an actual settled team for once.

Turned back the clock a bit today - Classic Dele.

Let's hope he now reverts to norm.
