Jermaine Jenas is so average. We bought him from NEWCASTLE for fucks sake, and they were genuinely happy to let him leave. How much longer do I have to watch the hudd on the bench whilst Jenas the ghost floats around on the pitch?

He's so average that when he's not playing we look lightweight in midfield and clueless in covering defence.

As long as we look better when JJ plays I presume, which is pretty much all the time.

Yes we do look like a better side whenever Jenas plays but it doesnt mean he is any good
infact it says more about the rest of the squad than anything
my problem with him is he is not consistent enough

Of course Ramos rates Zokora, but I don't think the story is true. He is good enough for Real Madrid's midfield, no doubt about that. He is a player any team would like to have.

I really hope he stays with us! We need him in our team! He has been so committed since he came, and his passion for the game is great! What a player we have!

I agree with parts of what Spursking says Eek :)

He's a good player but he hasn't shown his best form consistently.

The past 2 games Didier has put in some seriously good performances. He's got to put these in week-in week-out though.

Real Madrid would have to pay some silly money if he was to go. (in the region of £10 million I reckon)

I doubt Ramos will buy any players from Tottenham, seriousley its just stupid tabloid crap automatically linking the old manager with players from his previous club, how many Sevilla players were we linked with a year ago, I can think of at least 3/4, Palop, Kanoute, Capel, Poulsen.

This will all die down soon.

Yup. With JR in charge we were linked with Seville players & players from La Liga. Now he's at Madrid he's being linked with Tottenham players & players from the Premier League.

Utter guff.

I think he looked pissed off because he was injured. Just before his number came up, they showed Redknapp on the sideline making gestures like 'can you not carry on'. Presumably it was to JJ.

That said, JJ's going to have to start wrapping bandages round his body so that he's actually visible during matches.

Yes. Then people might have noticed that he made more passes than anyone else last night before he went off, and that not one went astray. Also, that he's the only one of our regular midfielders who actually wins a respectable number of tackles.

Back on topic, Ramos can just fuck right off.

what statistics won't tell you is just how many of those passes broke up good attacking play, by passing backwards, how many of those passes played a colleague into immediate danger, just what happened after he'd made a 'respectable' tackle.
There was dancing on the streets of newCastle the day he was sold to us and its a blessing he is unable to play for a while now.
bring on the thudd, o'hara, zokopops with Corluka astride, even ghaly

Didier zokora is £10m pompey target

By ROB BEASLEY, 20/12/2008

TONY ADAMS is ready to make a £10million raid for Tottenham midfield man Didier Zokora.

The Portsmouth boss sees the Ivory Coast star as the ideal replacement for Real Madrid-bound Lassana Diarra.

Spurs chief Harry Redknapp will be a reluctant seller as he has been impressed by the former St Etienne ace, who joined Tottenham for £8.2m in 2006.

But Redknapp may do business as he could use the £10m fee to strengthen his squad in other areas.

A Fratton Park insider said: “Tony has let it be known that he wants Zokora and he’ll be ringing his old boss Harry in a bid to try and thrash out a deal.”

Meanwhile, Spurs fans have urged the board to help cut out the “absolutely abysmal” treatment they have received following the team in Europe.

Peasants

Shareholders at last week’s annual meeting were shocked to hear how supporters had been clubbed by police for stepping out of the single file that led to one turnstile in their last UEFA Cup trip to Nijmegen in Holland.

Club secretary John Alexander insists FA security advisors are aware and these issues will be taken up with UEFA.

At various stages this season, fans have been unable to buy programmes or soft drinks and have struggled to get inside grounds.

One disgruntled season-ticket holder said: “We are treated like peasants abroad. We pay good money to be treated as fodder wherever we go.”

I like Zokora too as he has been better lately and is very versatile, but I think I would rather have Bullard.

I think Bullard could play well with Jenas or Hudd in a 2 man center mid, or as part of a 3 man center mid with Modric as well.

Bullard would prob be 5-6 mill as he's out of contract soon, then we have 4-5 mill left over to spend on soneone else we need.

I don't like Zokora all that much but I'll admit that it's pretty useful to have a player that can at least cover CM, CB & RB.

If Real Madrid whop their wad on the counter I'd snap it up quicker than you could say "Ramos, you're a mug!"
