I'm not sure I'd call it irrelevant. It's obvious that a lot of vile people flock towards Chelsea because of their reputation. Clearly not every Chelsea fan is like that (with a mix of a few genuine fans, and a whole bunch of plastics), but they're a thuggish club where thugs go to be around like-minded (and I use 'minded' loosely here) thugs. We have a few fuckwit supporters at Tottenham, but if they were anyway near as abundant as they are at Chelsea I (and I'm sure many others) would soon distance myself from any association with the club.

It's not as if Chelsea are interested in improving their image either, considering they're owned by a callous (and apparently murderous) oligarch and captained by a racist **** of a 'man'.

The club is rotten from top to bottom, so I don't think it's irrelevant when scum like those in the video act that way openly in Chelsea colours. This is an away game in the CL so they represent the very heart of the club. Our away support consistently represents the club admirably on and off the pitch, and it's something that makes me proud to be a Spurs supporter. A world of difference.

That's not to say I think we're whiter than white. I'm certainly not a fan of our supporters singing about gooners and how they want to "kick their fucking head in", but Chelsea fans are on another level entirely.

They've really outdone themselves this time, absolute scum. They really need to ban Chelsea from Europe or make them play behind closed doors, what are they as a club doing to combat the continued decades of racism? If UEFA make an example of them it might actually make the club take action to cut it out at the root, it's no good banning them after they've been caught when the problem is so firmly entrenched.

Clean up operation in full swing already on Talksport. An English reporter, in France for the game says he saw the video and ' it was one or two mindless idiots'. Obviously cant count. And no mention of the 200 or so 'fans' that were kettled and tear gassed before the game. Chelsea will not be punished over this.

A classy bunch. England's shame. Don't expect any punishment though, it's outside of the football stadium and that's enough of an excuse for the football authorities to ignore it.

Any incident in the stadium will be reliant on the report of the game and probably be a whitewash - not the best term to use here, oops - as always.

Not completely relevant, but a Gooner mate on FB posted the video and claimed that Arsenal were the only London club that didn't get infiltrated by the NF in the 70s and that they'd been chased out of Highbury.

Had never heard that before - just wondered what WHL had been like in the 70s - was it as bad as everywhere else or were some clubs much worse than others (as seems the case now)

Except er wasn't the founder of Combat 18 an Arsenal fan? I'm sure I heard that many years ago.
