I suspect the club will act fast and ban a few. That will take the pressure of them.

In their defence all clubs have their idiots, but they don't help themselves by having a known racist as club captain.

Disgusting. You can see how everyone around the platform is waiting for something to happen though, such a sad representation of English supporters again.
Trouble is though you can see the response, "we were only joking, we've got a couple of black lads in our team, we wouldn't support them if they weren't ok"...

In this day and age I am absolutely astounded that happened - seriously, what the hell is wrong with those people?

Absolutely disgusting - I am beside myself with rage at that.

That Chelsea fans would do something like this, doesn't surprise me. They have the highest % of **** fans this side of Millwall and Leeds.

What amazes me, is that these same people will pay to watch half a dozen black players every other week at Stamford Bridge. I'd love for some of the Chelsea players to see this video and get a chance to respond to their own fans.

If they're 'racist and that's the way they like it', i take it none of them celebrated when Drogba scored the winning penalty in the champions league final...? Fucking idiots.

I've got a mate who was in Paris for the game and he said there was a group of about 40-50 (probably the same lot on the train) going round singing anti-muslim songs all day trying to provoke a reaction. Scum bags.

Chelsea. FFS. We know what they're like, on one hand i am pleased that other countries in Europe are getting a look into what they are like. On the other hand it's bad for the English image across the continent.

Alot of Arab and Black kids around here are obsessed with Chelsea, you see more chelsea kits than any other, including Marseille/ Nice/ PSG etc. I wonder what they are going to make of this?

Only a minority? A mate of mine went to Germany to watch that dreadful CL final on a big screen.
He said that he didn't see a single black fan travelling or attending that day.

will it even be covered? I am getting used to TV coverage showing the game and nothing but the game. Final whistle and the show ends. Adverts right up until the last second during HT. I doubt newspapers will cover it. The only resource is online, and even then.. will popular local sources show it?

Of course, that depends where 'around here' is. I am used to telling locals how certain clubs have bad reputations for all sorts of things and that they are owned by criminals, sort of thing. Blank looks all round.

As for this 'condemn the fans' thing from Chelsea, it will be interesting to see whether they follow through with the threat to ban them or - like a lot of rhetoric at the moment - stops at strong words and shaking fists.

Funnily this is becoming the norm. Incidents are hidden & marginalised to not upset advertisers. And yet the reverse is true in war, incidents are expanded to appear more significant than reality (see the pulling down of Saddam's statue)

It's a shame no one really stood up for the guy but if you look at it, it's about 20 football hooligan thugs who probably have nothing to lose and beat the shit out of people.

Not really shocked about the behaviour either

Their response would probably be that all clubs have their bad eggs. That's normally the excuse.

From a 5Live reporter

Breaking: UEFA say it's outside their remit to act on Paris Metro incident allegedly involving Chelsea fans as it occurred away from stadium

UEFA say however they "condemn all forms of discrimination and we are appalled by the incident."

UEFA: "It is a matter for the local authorities to investigate further and UEFA supports any action that is taken."

was just about to say its a shame nobody done anything about it but like you say its a loud, agressive group and most other people would have been by themselves and it would of taken a real character to do something.

the reality is we are sheep and always want to react after the incident
