Yup

He’s confirming he’s signed a pre-contract agreement for us and he’s coming for free.

Also that Chelsea re arsenal are on the verge of collapse

Lastly, he says the quality of the ITK on SC is amazing
Nice one. Now do Maddison and Son.

Base mates

Yup, plus both Son and Eze are sponsored by Burberry, so they know each other from all the promos and events.

Realistically, which clubs have the money to pursue him this summer? And who would genuinely be the most interested?
Man U
Arsenal
Liverpool
City
Newcastle
Spurs

Cant see Chelsea getting involved, due to their FFP disaster.

He won’t be short of suitors. And I’m guessing most will meet Palace’s asking price. It’ll come down to the player’s preference. Would be hugely surprised if Newcastle and UTD would be high on his list.

Would be a great addition. But we won’t have time for a protracted fight for his signature. So, if it can’t be done early doors, hope we move on quickly. Same applies to Neto.

City are currently heavily linked to him. Most reports saying that they are favourites for him and i could see him fitting in their system well.

Idk, I don’t really see him as an answer to our issues at all so even if we got him we would still need a dedicated WF imo. Considering the amount of money Eze would cost I struggle to see him as a logical target at this point.

Yeah. I know what you mean. Pedro Neto or similar player is our primary focus I would imagine. Lots of other areas to address, but the former will probably be where we are willing to spend the most.

Eze is an interesting player in that he is highly versatile. In our system he can play a 10, 8 or left / right forward. His dribbling ability and excellent passing range is the biggest appeal. Sadly, I don’t think we are in a financial position to make two big splashy signings this summer. At least, not unless new investors come in. Which is highly unlikely as well.

I think he will be a “Grealish” at City. Nothing more. Which would be a shame.

Eze > Neto for our system. He’s a much better possession player, you definitely get the best out of Neto in a counter attacking side… as we witnessed a few weeks back

Except we need a top quality right winger far more than another attacking midfielder.

Dont get me wrong I’d take both but we already have Maddison as main attacking midfielder and even needing cover for him, I don’t imagine Eze would fancy being a bit-part player.

I think we also need to figure out what we are doing with Kulu long term. Im not entirely convinced by him as a RW in this system, if we decide to move him central more regularly, which seems like the logical move, then that would be to the AM position making another 10 even less of a necessity. For me its not about if Eze is a good player or not, its about do we actually need him. If we bought Neto and Eze say, which we wont as both will cost over 60 mil, but hypothetically if we did then Kulu would become pretty much obsolete.

I'm pretty certain we were close to signing him when he was at QPR, so wouldn't be surprised if he's kept us on his radar.

We were interested in Maddison from the time he was at Coventry. Each time he chose other clubs for first team until he'd developed to the level to be first choice for us.

We're now reaping the benefits of this.

Hopefully it's the same thing with Eze.

Add Donley into the equation and it becomes even harder to figure how Eze would fit in.

I don’t understand what’s so great about him? Freekick aside every time I’ve watched him he’s done absolutely nothing. I get he’s playing in a poor palace side but olise is genuinely the standout player for me.

I agree - he is decent but I don't see anything special about him at all.

We need to get him on the pitch like City did with Foden. If he's good enough, he's old enough.
There are a handful of elite teen talents that are good enough to play for top teams in the best leagues in world.

The vast majority need to develop and gain experience at lower levels before being good enough to start for a Prem team in and around the CL places.

Maybe he is another Messi, Ronaldo or Foden. Odds are strongly against it though.

Even if we loan him out, which I actually think would be best for him as I’m not convinced Ange will play him with any frequency next season, I still don’t get the concept of Eze. Donley would be back after one season and we will have Devine and even Bergvall can play there. Personally I’d rather keep Gio for another season whilst Donley goes out on loan then let Gio go on a free and replace him with Donley.

Ether way we aren’t spending over 60 mil on two attackers, not unless we sell Richy in which case one would be a striker. With that in mind the player we get has to be a natural WF who we know will naturally fit the role.

Olise is by far the better fit for our system and our current needs. It’s not even close imo. If he didn’t have real concerns over his hamstrings I would put him very high on the want list.
