Similar thing is happening in the US. Since the game is in Honduras they get to sell the rights and it will be close-circuit PPV in select bars only. Unlike the England game, this isn't a meaningless qualifier. FIFA really needs to change the way tv rights are given away.
Is it really a big deal ?
Thousands if not millions in the UK pay £10-15 to see a fight or wrestling match on Sky PPV without fuss but kick up a fuss over a football game, anyone with a laptop or PC will have a connection to be able to connect a laptop to a plasma so it would be just like watching it on Sky PPV
I will not be subscribing but can't really understand the outcry
Never known anyone not to have a fuss over PPVs to be honest. And it isn't just 1 match either, its several. Boxing for example will go on for about 7 hours from start to finish. Wrestling 3/4 hours. UFC 3 hours. But these are very much different to football. We dont expect to have to pay to watch the national team play football. It was bad enough when it went to Setanta (although personally i already had that package) but to make people pay £5 for a football match that we're already qualified in, and only a shitty version on PC (PPVs are in HD) is beyond a joke.Is it really a big deal ?

I'll still head to a pub with dodgy sky to watch it.
