"it never does you any harm to perform well in a game"

ITV commentary makes me want to smash the TV. Please god they're not the only ones covering the world cup

Time to completely shut the door on Wayne Rooney.

He is total horse shit for England.

Always has been.

After the last WC, Rooney, Lampard, Gerrard and all the old guard who have had chance after chance should have been told, thanks lads, you've had three WC's and been shite in them all. It's now time for the kids to have a go. The Germans did it so why can't we?

I mean, wtf is the point of taking a 35 year old Lampard? Save him for penalties maybe? Rooney should never have worn the shirt again after the Algeria game.

I'm wondering if Clive can list the 'plenty' of positives he has just mentioned?

Methinks not.

Welbeck should not be starting in the WC, not good enough.

I haven't noticed Henderson much tonight, I don't know if that's a good thing cos he hasn't done anything wrong or a bad thing cos he's hasn't stood out, he's kind of got that unsung job sitting.

Reckon you could get more atmosphere in outer space than Wembley for England games. Such a ZzZzZzZz-fest.

Why do England Managers always persist in playing ordinary players over real talent.

Barkley, Wilshere and Sterling on the bench whilst Henderson and Wellbeck are on the pitch.

Spain play their flair players and then defend as a team. We don't need cart horses!

We didn't concede
Hart didn't choke on his chewing gum
Rooney didn't get injured
Welbeck ran around really quickly

Hmm decisions, decisions. Do I watch the after match insights of Theo Walcott and count the amount of times he says "as I said" or turn over & watch Chatty Man.

Yawwwwwn. Give me Spurs at their most boring this season over watching England attempt to play football.

Really gutted for Walker. Surely would of been first choice.

Johnson is going to lose concentration several times in the games that count.

Rooney needs to earn his place
Lallana - not for me (as above)

Lots of work to do.

swap dumbo johnson, jagielka, baines, lallana and welbeck for walker, terry, cole, wilshere, sterling and england would have a chance.
