Club stinks from the top, they appointed Mourinho, they have been fucking up our transfers for years, end product of 20 years what we’re seeing now, we’re a listless ship right with zero direction. If you’re mad at Mourinho or if you’re mad at the players then you should be mad at these ****s too.

Levy has to take the flak for appointing Mourinho, certainly.

There was no lack of ambition in the appointment. Quite the opposite. But it has backfired on Levy badly. He gambled that Jose still had what it takes. He was wrong.

There is only one way that he can make this right. Set up a rock solid football structure that can deliver success and provide continuity from manager to manager, from group of players to group of players.

Then don't interfere with it.

And stick with it.

In every other respect, short of a super rich benefactor, we are in good hands.

20 fucking years and here we are again. Christ its depressing.

New Stadium and lovely training facilities maybe but one league cup in 20 years is fucking embarrassing. And we find ourselves in disarray on the pitch again. Something has to fucking change.

20 years plan off the pitch which has happened.

20 years without a plan for the football side. We now have a better turnover which helps us buy better players but without a plan there is no real fruition.

I agree about off the pitch but most of us on here don't get excited by infrastructure. It's the game, the emotion, the passion and its hard to be excited right now.

This kind of disarray is comparatively easily turned around with the right appointments - manager and DoF (or similar).

We still have excellent foundations and the means to compete at the top.

The big question is whether Levy can make those right appointments.

You can’t really have one without the other. The infrastructure is necessary to compete with the resources of other teams. Unless of course you’re hoping we become a shady billionaire’s play thing.

Most don’t want hear it but we’ve been punching above our weight for quite a while. Money will always come out top in the end.

We are basically West Ham but get to lose to more exotic opposition.

A carabao cup will be a milestone in the history of the club.

That's my point.

Despite the additional funding there is no real improvement on the pitch. Just sporadic ups and downs.

Agreed. This is a low point in our recent history. And it's been a fairly shit couple of seasons. But it's worth remembering that they have come after a run of 15 seasons that, barring two or three exceptions, have ranged from pretty good to excellent.

If - and I concede that it is a big if - we can bring in the right people, things could quickly look up again.

I'm not even totally sure what people think Levy should have done in the Summer. Spent even more than the £100m net + big wage bill increases they already did, during a global pandemic? Overruled the management to insist they prioritised a centre-back? Nearly nobody here at the time thought it was a bad window, everyone was actually very excited at how complete the squad looked, the board just seem to be the default place to put the blame.

I don't think the individual window was a problem at all. 20 years without a plan for the playing side has been the problem.

For a start, stop quoting Messi' Ronaldo' prices on our deadwood!

It's always smart to be biz savvy while running a football club but ENIC and Levy took this to an ridiculous level.

If profits are always prioritized over football, it's time to go.

Not this again. Who have we failed to sell in recent years, or ever, for asking for too much?

20 years to achieve something that should have taken half that time.
