Not sure if this is new/reliable info or just a rehash of yesterday's reports, but:

http://www.rmcsport.fr/info/507188/toulouse-capoue-decolle-londres/

Google translated:

Etienne Capoue off in the next few minutes to London to engage with Tottenham. The player agreed with the English club for a four-year contract. Toulouse and Tottenham have reached an agreement around twelve million (ten million plus two million bonus). Capoue will pass his medical on Friday in London.

I really hope this is true, but it sounds a bit fabricated.
Keeping fingers crossed nonetheless.

Getting a lot of coverage in reputable media. I think this is going to happen and I like how he plays from what I've seen.

If you want to do comparisons, I think a Sandro/Huddlestone mix is probably about where he is. He's a good defensive midfielder with a really good range of passing. One of his best attributes, in my opinion, is he likes to play the ball forward constantly. He doesn't do it to the point where he's just hoofing it forward, either. He's a good player that could become even better when he's surrounded by better talent.

Call me a cynic lads (I am so feel free) but ate wet not just building a team full of enormous beasts?
Kind of reminds me of Harry at pompey when all he did was buy hulking great African lads. It was never pretty or graceful, they'd just completely overpower the technical players.
The only small player we've got this window is Soldado and even he's around 5ft 10

Since AVB came he's overseen Dembele, Adebayor, Paulinho, Chadli, anyone else I've missed over 6ft tall?

Vertonghen, Lloris and Sigurdsson ;-) Holtby being the only small guy in the bunch.

Siggy, Lloris, and Vertonghen as well.

Not a lot of creativity there. I've said it before but we're basically turning into a more technically capable version of Everton. With the exception of Bale we were shit to watch last season, and offered about as much movement and creativity as a block of flats.

I doubt we'll concede many goals as we'll just muscle the opposition off the ball. Just shame we won't be able to do much with it once we've got it.

Soldado was a fantastic signing but I'm worried that he's going to be in for a shock when he realises how few chances we'll be able to create for him.

But the guys being bought are technically good as well, it just so happens that they're well built and athletic. It's not like we're buying stoke players or anything like that (more size, less technique). Just look at it as a bonus, that all are new players seem to be physical beasts.

Agree with all of this Spurger. If only we'd signed Moutinho :(
