We look a bit more organised, and are attacking with a bit more of a plan, but our players are so out of form and low on confidence that we don't look like scoring any time soon. Is that 180 minutes without a shot on target now? We are crying out for some creativity in the middle, so frustrating that GLC and Ndombele don't seem to be able to do it in a spurs shirt.

Some clear, positive signs:

- We have a plan and a defined style of play
- Energy levels very high

Problem is we're just not well drilled enough, or well accustomed to this one touch, high risk passing game after 2 1/2 years of glacial/long ball build up. We also just can't consistently pull off the long cross field passes we keep trying - Conte really needs to get Romero, Hojbjerg and Skipp practising them non stop.

I think we lack one more technical body in the midfield to link everything together. If we replace Lucas or one of the 2 CMs with Ndombele or Lo Celso and we'll improve.

Why is Emerson Royal so timid?

Whats the love in with this RB and all the hate on a LB that is aggresive going foward. The fan base is basically rewarding mediocrity, this is why the team zaps around sideways and backwards.

Shit player , give them praise.
Player that actually tries, put them down.

Wtf

Um... Royal's been one of our best both offensively and defensively last 4 games. Only player with the tank and discipline to get up and down.

Weird post man. I get you're defending Reggie but damn... weird post

Very promising signs.

Not taken Conte long to get this team better organised and structured. As well as moving into certain areas when the ball is moved in certain zones.

A bit more quality in certain positions and we'd be looking more likely.

Our left backs haven't changed.....it was our Danny who gave away the penalty to the scum

Interesting first half and reports of Everton's demise may be a little premature.

High on effort and workrate, low on quality across the board What has been promising for me is that we've really struggled recently against sides with high aggression and workrate (see the recent game against Vitesse) but we seem to be coping a little better today.

I wonder if this might come down to fitness and use of subs.

Think Skipp is doing pretty well for a 21 year old in their first season in the PL and on their second manager. His mistakes will be ironed out with experience.

Yes, the fan's reactions are responsible for sideways and backwards passing....

This won't be a popular sentiment but I think Dele for Lucas wouldn't be a bad sub. There's some pockets of space that could be exploited.

On the right side we look ok, Emerson has been decent as has Lucas.

On the left we have been shocking, reguillon can't pass, Davies keeps doing these one twos and running into the box, which would work if he could get it back. Son has been poor in his build up play as well.

My choice would be bergwijn for reguillon. If sessegnon was fit this would be his time.

son has yet again been awful today
He's only gonna thrive when he is able to run into space. For him to get the ball with space ahead of him we need someone who can play the pass to him to run onto

I thought that was a reasonably decent half. Considering rhe disruption to the side with manager merry go rounds and yet another way of playing.

Lucas getting a hard time on here, but he has worked really hard defensively and before being hacked down was on a promising run.

Build up play to create chances os going to take a while to get going. Not gonna happen in a week.

Let's see if Tanguy or Locelso made the grade for an appearance.

Royal my motm for the first half.

Would drop PEH and Lucas at HT and get Ndombele and Lo Celso in, we're lacking quality in midfield atm and with Lucas looking like he's having one of those wasteful afternoons I'd sacrifice him for more midfield creativity.

We've had 2 chances for either WB, they have had nothing.

I'm a bit worried about the ball over the top, we look a little indecisive.

People should bear in mind we are the away team here.
