Shit crowd found their voices to cheer now.. what a load of shit our defending is..toss off..

Reminds me a little of an old joke:

An Englishman, Irishman and Scouser walk into a baHANDBALL! The EnglishmaHANDBALL! HANDBALL! HANDBALL! then the IrishmHANDBALL! HANDBALL! Everyone turns to HANDBALL! look at the ScouHANDBALL! He says HANDBALL! but you should've seen the otheHANDBALL!... HANDBALL! HANDBALL! HANDBALL! Then they all HANDBALL! into the HANDBALL! sunset. (HANDBALL!)

Wins the thread.

Well, we played averagely for about 75 minutes and were slightly fortunate not to concede. Then we scored. Then we made some subs that set us up a bit more defensively. Then we sat a bit deeper. Then we made a defensive error. Then we conceded 2 goals past the 80 minute mark. Then we lost.

Sound familiar?
I really didn't want anybody to answer that, but you're so right and it's far too familiar.

That was another nondescript performance overall.

Like we've has a good one this season?

Too many lucky wins papering over the cracks that are piss poor defending, poor tactical management and a theory that when we go 1-0 up we sling on a load of players to hopefully stop the opposition from attacking.

How mnay games does AVB need to throw down the can before he fucking realises, that those tactics ain't working?

Caulker not listening to his GK again is very bad and has cost us on both occasions but Gallas and Walker efforts at stopping Jelavic was worse, trying to play offside in that situation instead of being aware of where the striker was is just lazy.

That's football guys. Seeing that was almost as bad as the 5-2 last season.

Caulker showing his inexperience there, he has potential but isn't the finished article, our injuries at the back have been very difficult for us. The sooner we get Benni and Kaboul back the better. As for the match, if we had won that game it would have been a real steal because Everton were the better team for most of the match and probably deserved to win it, a draw would have been great but to lose like we did feels devastating.
were talkkng about just booting the ball into row zright?

That's the second time Caulker has done that. As soon as he did that I was worried. I hate it when we play Everton as they've always been a bogey team. We were controlling that for the last ten mins. We desperately need a stable back four. i'm not sure about taking Dembele off, but I guess he has to protect him with that hip. Oh bollocks!

On the balance of play its hard to argue that Everton were not worth the win

Harsh to lose under the circumstances with such late goals, not least after Sig hit the bar.

Caulker again clears a ball (poorly) that he should have left for Lloris, something has to be done about the communication there.

Really poor to let in a second goal so quickly after the first, but what's done is done just have to bounce back against Swansea next week

It's embarrassing how mentally weak the club is. Not just the side, it's from top to bottom. I can't remember the last time we won a game late yet we drop points every other week due to late goals it seems!

Ah well, not like it's anything new is it!!!!

As I seem to repeat every week, to concede at least one goal in the last 10 minutes appears obligatory for us. Unless we have a two or three goal cushion going into the last 10 I have practically no expectation of winning.

How many goals conceded after the 80 minute mark so far this season is it now? This habit of conceding late goals is an epidemic. Unless it's sorted out asap we will not achieve anything of significance this season.
