As I seem to repeat every week, to concede at least one goal in the last 10 minutes appears obligatory for us. Unless we have a two or three goal lead in place going into the last 10 I have absolutely no expectation of winning.

In future whenever we have a one goal lead at around the 79 minute mark I'm going to stick a couple of quid on the other team. It's easy money.

Do me a favour, anyone blaming AVB for this is a retard. If Caulker let the ball run through to the keeper as a normal CB with no pressure and a shout audible from the TV would have done, then we'd have won that. Then he let Vellios do as he liked for the 2nd. He's not good enough and neither is Dawson and Gallas. I dare say Jan has looked suspect at CB too due to his size. We need Kaboul and another CB, what we have isn't good enough.

Because of that capitulation I just punched a door in front of a load of people who don't really understand football, safe to say I don't know what was more embarrassing that sequence of events, or AVB's substitutions

There I was on the 86th minute thinking, what a perfect day, Spurs winning and I'd been surprisingly productive before with my day.. Then it all goes to shit on the 89th....

I can't believe we've lost so many points at the end of games :(

Encouraging performance nonetheless before then, if only Sigurdsson's marvellous effort went under the bar

HAHA... what game were u watching???? seriously.. no way did we deserve anything from that . everton hoofed the ball all day but they worked hard as a team.. our players are a fucking joke and would not know hard work if ut came up and kicked them in the balls. avb out

listening to the game on Radio 5. May have sworn rather loudly - twice - perhaps I should go around and apologise to my elderly neighbour :(

What a kick in the teeth. That would have been a huge 3pts for us. When will we ever learn to hold on to a lead? Giving the ball away constantly doesn;t help.

AVB makes defensive changes to help protect a weak back four. It's understandable. But by removing forward players we can;t keep the ball and have no attack. He is caught between a rock and a hard place. Too many late goals. Maybe it's time some of the players took the blame. Look at Utd today - in the second half the game was out of Fergie's hands. There was nothing he could do to change the pattern of the game.

the subs weren't the problem we still had Ade, Clint, Siggy and Falque

we were keeping possession quite nicely until Verts tried some unneeded fuckn glory ball

we need to learn to keep possession and close games out especially in the last 5 mins when winning, keep ball is essential as they can't equalize if they aint got the fuckn ball

we look completely rudderless at times

Post an update after you get back from the hospital and the codeine painkillers have kicked in. :)

Demeble goes off and we lose the game. I know it's not as simple as that but how our results are linked to his time on the pitch is scary. I thought the stat only applied to games he played in and not how many minutes he played. May have to change it.

Yeah the Dutch footballer of the year isn't good enough to start for us. Behave.

Guys we should stop the knee-jerking (albeit it's largely because how gutting it was to lose like that)

We've now played away to Everton, Arsenal, Man U and Man City.

We've had key injuries throughout the season, never fielded our strongest 11 AND had 4-5 new players intergrating into the team.

YET, we're joint 4th and 3 points behind Chelsea.

Still 1 point! May b at the end of the season. This point ll b importante for us! Stay positif!!!! LoL coys

Carlo Cudicini@Capitancarloc
@AssouEkotto Ben I think you have switched off the tv too early...:-(

:(

Sums it up though doesn't it. He seems to think a point is secured and the game isn't even over FFS. No wonder we keep conceding late if thats the attitude with these players.

LoL as well? - how about LoL to the the couple of thousand fans who travelled all that way to see the team and spent a fair bit of cash to do it.
Nothing against BAE but some of these players are fucking stupid.

Agree apart from Dawson, he may be slow, but he's solid.

When you are 1-0 up with 3 minutes to go you expect to win. Go outside and get some fresh air - calling for the managers head?

I wouldn't mind but I thought the two of them had had a great day at the office until the last 5 minutes.

Yep. Our lack of late goals scored (ok, got a late-ish one today but I mean after 80 minutes) is every bit as troubling to me as our knack of conceding them. It is extremely worrying.

We don't have the bottle or spirit to win games that late.
