You may want to wish me and my other team (Newport County) good luck in the FA Trophy final tomorrow.
It is the County's centenary season and its the club's only ever appearance at Wembley. I hope its a bit more successful than my only other visit - our semi final vs Portsmouth!
For those old enough to remember, the County used to be a 'proper' club plying their trade mainly in the lower two divisions but were relegated into the Conference in 1988 and subsequently went bankrupt before the season finished. After reforming Newport started out again in the Hellenic League and had to ground share with Moreton (in Gloucestershire) as the Welsh FA wouldn't let us play in Wales due to our refusal to join the league of Wales.
And so, against much adversity over the past 20+ years, Newport County are going to Wembley!
