Any idea of the reliability or otherwise of this chap? And does this mean we can put in a request for Ozil to make it up to us? *Insert praying smilie*

No, but @pokeefe1, who I personally find to be on the ball re Spurs seems to trust him.

@pokeefe1 also has this to say about our Madrid partnership vis a vis Paulinho

Paul O Keefe@pokeefe1 3m
@pthfcning It genius. Give us a free run and if player excels they get first dibs in 3 years or so. They get a foot in English football too

Edit: He's claiming that the Madrid Paulinho thing is a Levy inspired ruse

'Strategic stuff from Daniel. You say you want a player we target, People go, Madrid are in I give up'

Not sure if I buy that but interesting none-the-less.

No, I don't buy it either. Think that's conjecture and that Real are just a bunch of massive shits. And the idea of them getting first dibs on our excelling players? We're just an unofficial feeder club then, really?

First up I really do want Bale to stay, but the writing is on the wall and I doubt we'll keep him past next summer. I get the feeling we might hold onto him this summer though.

I wouldn't be shocked if we see Coentrao joining this summer in a late good value deal.

Someone suggested that Levy plot on here the other day almost word for word...

Just hate the fact that Zidane is now assistant manager/coach. Can keep his ugly beak well out of it.

Snarf - the question then is say, Higuain and someone like Lamela for example, plus another £30m or so loose change. Well would ya? - go on punk

Top bloke. At the start of last season, he got his hands on a bunch of Spurs shirts that had *cough* fallen off the back of a lorry. They were all 'tagged up', still in wrappers etc etc. £20 later + a fiver in a pre-addressed envelope to cover postage, Coopsie was a happy chappy ;)

Player plus cash deals never happen nowadays, and one good reason why they don't is because they seldom work out well for the selling club.

They get a player who they were not otherwise interested in, and the player knows he is a makeweight and seldom sets the world alight at his new club as he often struggles to settle. Ergo his value falls over the nex 12 months and he ends up moving on for a lot less than whatever value he supposedly carried when the player-plus-cash deal happened. So at the end of it all, the makeweight has lost out on a year of his career, and the selling club have lost out on both the fall in the makeweight's value over his troubled year, and the year they have lost through being unable to adequately replace the superstar they sold in the first place as they only received part of his true value in cash.

If Bale reports to pre-season training without publicly pushing for a transfer, he will stay. Madrid are getting desperate, and the papers are getting bored. Hence we have another 2 or 3 weeks of this fantasy football bulsh*t and then other moves should start to grab their share of the headlines.

But isn't the whole world, with the exception of Barca (Figo notwithstanding) Madrid's feeder club?

At least they're keeping us sweet before they royally fuck us further down the line.

Its amazing how much faith some people have in levy, he sold Carrick, berbatov and ratboy but will not sell bale?
Carrick went for 16m berba for 30m and ratboy for 33m, somehow I doubt he will turn down 85m for one player.
No doubt we will get another chairman's message on the website blaming the player, but at least it has strengthened our relationship with Madrid, oh and they have loaned us the Spanish Frazier Campbell.
I hope I am wrong but levy is a businessman first and foremost.

Why not? I think it is quite clear that levy wants the club to at least win trophies or consistently challenge for the title for one or two season before the new stadium is complete, then we will be primed to be sold at the highest possible value to the Qatari royal family or some business oligarch from China, end of story. Just building a big stadium is simply not good enough. That's why we have avb to build something here.

No blind faith in him to love the badge or anything, but purely trust him and his business decision.

Besides, if we didn't sell Carrick we may not have the money to buy Bale in the first place.
