Let him go boys and girls. As we dont have as many super stars its a bigger issue. The bigger picture is we have a better squad than last season. In AVB I trust.

I hate people who keep saying 'let it go'. People are entitled to their opinions, whether you agree or not. Until it's on the OS that he's been sold, he is still a Tottenham player as far as I'm concerned. Tomorrow will be telling (as I keep on saying). If he's involved in training then at least we can tell there has been no deal agreed as of yet, and maybe he might even be staying.

Of course its a concern as GB is still a spurs player but there needs to be a balance .Levy will not be a push over. Usually we would have sold Bale on the last day and no decent replacements. At least we have quality in

That wasn't a story, the journalist made a joke towards Rodgers asking him if Liverpool were the club who had made a bid for Bale.

Rodgers for all his charm, wit and charisma decided to answer if as if the journalist was being serious.

Well, yes and no. I specifically included Chelsea as well, whose purchase of Willian was flat-out anti-competitive. But we are bound into collective agreements with our rival clubs, with the intensity of that rivalry a big selling point. That's why we can buy the likes of Lamela and Soldado from clubs with bigger names. Would you rather have 22 million, Hernandez and Willian, plus what Madrid are giving us? Or just take another low-ball offer because it won't strengthen a rival, who finishes 20 points ahead of us every season?

Or we have spent nearly £100 million (including Lamela) and strengthening those in the UK would be a waste of that money if we want to challenge.

If Bale goes, it will be abroad.

That is if he goes.

If we was selling him, we would have sold by now. It is far to late to do anything.

If it was a straight choice between keep Bale and sell Bale to Man Utd, I would keep Bale, Lewandowski style. However, if we are going to sell, and we are going to sell, turning down a bigger bid from 1 domestic rival only helps us in relation to that domestic rival. It hurts our position relative to Arsenal, Liverpool and Manchester City to sell to Madrid.

Of any set of fans, us Spurs fans should know full well that 'far too late' doesn't mean anything until the transfer window actually closes!

I was referring to us doing anything in regards to replacements. Not actually us selling him so to speak.

You got a neg on that, but I think I see what you're saying & if, as I think you are, you are suggesting that a man u bid would be more $ than a Madrid bid then I'm with you

I massively disagree, if we want to get anywhere we need to man up and stop acting small time. The only reason Bale is forcing his way out it because it's Madrid. If Man City or Utd had offered £100m at the beginning of the window I think we all would have said it would have been an unmitigated disaster to sell to them, besides the fact that player value is always relative. We DO NOT SELL OUR BEST PLAYERS TO DOMESTIC RIVALS FOR ANY AMOUNT OF MONEY, if we do that we might as well pack up now and go home.

Had to post this. Sorry, Real Madrid have to lower the price, wtf, deluded ****

WannabeGooner @WannabeGooner
@LeGrove Surely #Perez/#RealMadrid is not this gullible. If I was him I would reduce the price on offer because of #thfc's latest stunt.

What stunt was that?

This.

Madrid are the ones pulling stunts. And if they were to lower the offer, it wouldn't be the world record fee that is being touted and one that Levy would certainly be happy to say a 'HELL NO' to.

So now we're the ones pulling stunts? Madrid have been disrespecting us for months now and their own management have come out and talked about world record fees. You put your money where your mouth is or you fuck off until next summer.
