I'd take that thought even further by proposing that we may even be trying to attach our name to an even bigger and more visible sports brand across the Atlantic...

"Chances like that only come around once"
Yeah right... It's not as if he performs that well, or even better this season they'll be back for him next summer..
So he's not gone yet?
I refer you to wonderful Jurgen Klopp talking about what he said to Goetze:
"Bayern told Mario: 'It's now or never'. I told him they will come next year. They will come in two years, and then three years. But he is 20 and he thought: 'I must go'."

Real will come back every summer until the end of time for Bale, but I guess it's easy for us to say that...
Are you the only person in on this window cleaner joke lol? He's about 10 doors down my street doing the upstairs front bedroom.

There have certainly been rumblings under the surface for a whileI'd take that thought even further by proposing that we may even be trying to attach our name to an even bigger and more visible sports brand across the Atlantic...
I haven't read back through this thread today - so I don't know what the mood on here is like - but I saw quite a few comments about Bale on the Lamela thread.....most of them slagging him off. All because of these reports that he's refused to turn up for training and that he's "furious" with Spurs.
Can I ask - nay, beg - that all of us hold off from passing any kind of judgement until we know what's actually happening? This whole saga has been shrouded in mystery, claim and counter claim and completely conflicting information from the outset. It's perfectly apparent that what we're hearing is a cocktail truth, half truth and downright lies.
So let's not crucify someone who was a hero to us all, until very recently, purely on the basis of what could easily be media fabrication or, at least, media spin. I think Bale's efforts on behalf of our club over the past few years - and especially last season - have at least earnt him the right to be given a fair hearing.
