"Chances like that only come around once"

Yeah right... It's not as if he performs that well, or even better this season they'll be back for him next summer..

I refer you to wonderful Jurgen Klopp talking about what he said to Goetze:

"Bayern told Mario: 'It's now or never'. I told him they will come next year. They will come in two years, and then three years. But he is 20 and he thought: 'I must go'."

Real will come back every summer until the end of time for Bale, but I guess it's easy for us to say that...

If he is as good as he thinks he is, then it will happen.

I hope it's not true that he didn't turn up for training...

I wouldn't sell him personally.

Real Madrid can wait a bit longer, he's under contract, we have a bloody good team with our new additions and with him would be in with a good shout to challenge this season.

Real Madrid are a horrible club.

I'd take that thought even further by proposing that we may even be trying to attach our name to an even bigger and more visible sports brand across the Atlantic...
There have certainly been rumblings under the surface for a while

Still hoping for some sort of misunderstanding or exaggerated drama by the press and that he hasn't just "not turned up". Of course I do realise that is very unlikely.

Personally "going on strike" would determine my resolve even further to not sanction a deal until 10pm Monday. Hopefully Levy makes it clear that if he messes us about, he'll be seeing out his 3yrs with us.

All that said, I still love him and haven't come to terms with him leaving!!

I haven't read back through this thread today - so I don't know what the mood on here is like - but I saw quite a few comments about Bale on the Lamela thread.....most of them slagging him off. All because of these reports that he's refused to turn up for training and that he's "furious" with Spurs.

Can I ask - nay, beg - that all of us hold off from passing any kind of judgement until we know what's actually happening? This whole saga has been shrouded in mystery, claim and counter claim and completely conflicting information from the outset. It's perfectly apparent that what we're hearing is a cocktail truth, half truth and downright lies.

So let's not crucify someone who was a hero to us all, until very recently, purely on the basis of what could easily be media fabrication or, at least, media spin. I think Bale's efforts on behalf of our club over the past few years - and especially last season - have at least earnt him the right to be given a fair hearing.

Leave my wife out of this Smurf boy

:(

I've got some great news for you, HappySpur! I know for a fact she can reach orgasm, you just have to go in a bit deeper! The bad news though, is how I know this... ;)

I'm sorry, HappySpur, I love you. And to everyone else; enough with the arguing, and start respecting the mods! If A&C wants you to shut up, shut up, and if chrissivad wants you to read the rules, go read the rules. And for gods sake, if Stoof wants you to clean your vaginas, go ahead and clean your friggin vaginas! Pull out the ol' douche from under the bathroom sink, and get freaky with it.

Lets just talk about Bale now, and not argue over who is the best internet warrior. I know this post isn't exactly on topic either, and the mods can delete it if they want. I'm just sick of going through page after page reading nothing but off topic arguments and shit.

Rant over.
