Youtube makes him look like Eto'o in style. I cannot comment though as I've not seen him more than once or twice.

He is a lot more explosive then Eto'o, but a hell lot more fustrating. I would say he is more like a cross between a powerfull forward like Drogba and a silky player like Silva. Wherever you play him you will see him dropping deep looking for the ball, taking players on etc. If we signed him he could cover LW/RW/AM/ST so that would be valueble for us. Will he work one up front, doubt it, him and VdV would get in each others way. Still would be a good signing.

I've been saying for the last couple of years on here that I'd love to see Gervinho at Spurs and have been dreading the possibility of him joining Liverpool, who he was linked to in January.

I'd guess we'd have more chance of signing him than some of the other players we've been linked to. We could do with some explosiveness and his goal scoring record is good. Seems to me the kind of player who could be huge if he just tightened up the screws a bit and became more polished.

No mention of us so I didn't post it in the Twitter thread.

L'Equipe claims Arsenal, Villa, Everton, Man City and Newcastle all in for Gervinho for around €10m. He'd prefer Champions League club.

Not sure if Gervinho would be able to nail down a first-team place at a Champions League club straight away. €10m is a snip though.

Arsenal been looking at him for years apparently and Arsenal would be a "dream" according to him.

I like the look of him. He's kind of Hulk with better technique/more skill.

Would be ideal on the right of a 4-2-3-1 e.g.

Gervinho----vdV----Bale
-----------Falcao

Yeah that works for me!

ACN is a downside, but that's what you have a squad for...

To the ITK Who said Gervinho was Brazillian, he's Actually Ivorian. Get it right if you're going to add weight to an ITK.

I have been talking about Gervinho for so many years now. We are always too late. I really hope we can sign him. We need to strike a deal quickly now. There will be a lot of competition for his signature.

We have already missed out on Taye Taiwo, who will play for AC Milan next season. Moussa Sissoko, Yann Mvila, Eden Hazard, Blaise Matuidi, Mickaël Ciani, Mamadou Sakho, Daniel Appiah, Alexandre Lacazette are top, top players from the French Ligue 1. Bargains: Bruno Ecuele Manga, Cheikh Gueye, Geatan Bong, Éric Mouloungui.

Belgium: Romelu Lukaku, Eric Matoukou, Ziguy Badibanga, Nathan Kabasele, Cheikhou Kouyaté, Daniel Opare, Eliaquim Mangala, Cyriac, Axel Witsel.

Can't you use your influence as the owner of the worlds most prominent French African prospect scouting network to direct a few of these future world beaters our way?

I'm not usually as convinced by your recommendations as others on here can be. But i really think you're right about Gervinho, he is exactly one of the two types of striker we need right now.
