this. that team was incredible. defense, pace, power, flair, strength, attack, had everything

They really did have the perfect team when they won the CL, they could play a number of different styles depending on the opposition and I'd actually rate them as the best club side I've seen in my lifetime.

Watched Man City last night. I don't think they look like a well coached team. They look like a group of extremely talented and expensive individuals playing on the hoof. The defence is particularly awful.

There was that interview Henry did where he said that Guardiola told that Barcelona side that he coached the up to the final third, after that it was up to them. So you could well be right.

If he's taking the same approach to this City side then he can't be doing a good job as they're rubbish until the final third!

You could well be right. When they are faced with defensive transitions, their attitude can be scandalous. It's as if they can only be bothered to run now and again.

They might be the most lopsided team in PL history, the difference in quality between their best front six and the best back five is astonishing.

The manager of a team with virtually unlimited financial resources moaning about players being too expensive. Here's an idea, if you want/need English players, develop some of your own.

To be fair that's what he's said that he's doing at the end of that article. Although knowing these big sides that probably means buying up the best young players from abroad and sticking them in their academies so they count as homegrown.

I would imagine that happens way more at Man City than it does at most other clubs.

United, Arsenal and Chelsea are in on it as well. Chelsea are probably the worst as they've got about 200 players out on loan at the moment.
