New in the ITK thread from dovakhin, it will be a young forward, Richarlison will get the tob job if Harry goes.
I actually think that makes a lot of sense, especially if the young player can double up as a wide forward (and are, y'know, not shit at football).

I am pretty relaxed about the latest ITK, there's nothing I can control about the situation so why stress about it. 🤷‍♂️

I think one could even be slightly excited about the situation. Not ideal, of course, but it would be very interesting to see who we bring in and (if they are Ange’s choice) what he can do with them.

I know some will be more upset than others about Kane leaving, which is fair, but at least it looks like it will now be resolved at least.

I think we should give Richarlison a chance in the main role. Not least because any attempt at directly replacing Harry is bound to be a disappointment. He is irreplaceable as a player like Bale and Modric were but we can still evolve like we did with Eriksen, Dembele and Harry.

I agree, but many fans aren't going to like losing Kane and not signing a big name to offset that, whether as a striker or somewhere else on the pitch.

Even Levy will surely be aware of the optics there, right or wrong.

I’m actually ok with giving Richy a go. The way Ange plays will suit him very well as he can act as the aggressive poacher instead of trying to do what Kane has been doing!

I’m guessing the young striker will be a semi experienced one as we already have young strikers on the books who are highly thought of:

Scarlett, Donley, Soonsup-Bell, Lankshear etc

Im not meaning to be negative but if that ITK turns out to be true then that is a joke. We are replacing one of the world best strikers with a young reserve player and maybe purchasing both CH's that we should be getting regardless of a Kane sale. Ill wait and see what happens but if that plays out as the ITK suggests then that is the final nail in the coffin for me under ENIC, there would be no point ever dreaming of doing anything while they are in charge.

I also think there’s a reasonable chance Son ends up playing more as a 9 than a wing. He’s really not a great fit as the wide forward in this system in my opinion. We’re not going to be able to do it all in one window.

Could be that Ange needed a few weeks with Richy and Son to see how they were going to work and whether necessary we go drop all the Kane $ on a plug and play striker or use elsewhere

Kane is the one position where we hold superiority over United, Arsenal, Chelsea and Liverpool. Such a shame when he leaves. 😫

Fantastic post mate!

"Everything about us is pretending to be a big club, but we're not. Were a brand that has figured out how to maximize the amount of cash we can fleece whilst spending as little as possible on the actual football team".

The quote is such a good summary of our club, or should I say entertainment brand. Might as well make it our motto, as that's basically what we are.

Sadly, absolutely nothing will change as long as the money keep flowing to ENIC. Brilliantly done by Levy and ENIC (from an investment perspective

Also Ange has said that as well, so would be happy with this also

The reality was always going to be Richy as striker, we spent £70 mil on him last summer and unless we sold him he was always going to given the starting spot.

I’ll hold my judgement until it happens but not replacing Kane with a top quality forward would be pretty disappointing. I would be more than happy with a class versatile wing forward. Personally we should be bringing in VDV and Tapsoba in even if Kane stays.

Whoever the young forward we bring in is, im sure he won’t be valued at more the €30 mil max.

We may end up selling our greatest ever striker and the best striker in the world today (IMO) with days to go before the season starts.

That is inexcusable on every level.

Bayern could and should have been told the price is not one single penny below £X million and the deadline is 1 June 2023. Pay up by then or F**k Off. 1 penny less and 1 minute over the deadline and we wont even answer the phone !

everyone could see the car crash in the road ahead, but instead of taking evasive Levy carried on regardless.

What’s more is anyone surprised? If we were going to sell Kane this summer I could have bet that we would have done so in the most damaging way possible to the team and the upcoming season, just so long as Daniel Levy gets every last cent out of Bayern, and Ange and the fans our season be damned !! This is what Levy is, this is what Levy does, he will never change and the club will never meet its potential while that man runs the club

So, we're either allowed a good attack or a good defence, just not both at the same time.

In any case, if that ITK is true, it still doesn't explain why we've not signed one CB already. I'm hoping it's not true because it's really tin pot behaviour.

Buy the defenders we need and maybe, just maybe we might be competitive enough to persuade our best ever player to stick around. Stop acting like we're somehow impoverished.
