But if we get two LWers who are as good as each other then we'll have a "mido" situation over again.

I wouldn't mind him at a low fee of no more than 3 mil, and if he agrees to wages that are commensurate with his now diminished status.

However if we really gets Petrov, I doubt very much we'll sign him as Lennon could be moved over to cover for Petrov at times with Routledge patrolling the right should Jol elects to play two players wide. Altenatively, Bale could be moved forward with either Lee or AE taking the LB berth.

For 3 million I wouldn't mind, if he recaptured his Leeds form, he was brilliant then, at the very least a good backup for Petrov, rather than reshuffling the whole team!

Its a massive decision about Kewell. A bit of luck with injuries and the guy showed at Liverpool in patches that he is more than good enough. Also heard a Aussie guy on the radio say he knows Kewell and he has finally had an operation that has fixed his niggling injury which he has had for the past 5 years. He was really sharp in there last Premiership game and that was after 3 months out.

So its a gamble but i gotta say i would be tempted for 3 million. I know it could go all wrong for him but if we take the gamble and get it right it could make all the difference between us and 4th place.

I think we need him and Petrov by the way. We have NO left midfielders. Square pegs in round holes wont do next season.

You will see a different spurs if we get a left side. We will be a very hard team to stop at home with a balance to our play. We scored so many goals last season with no left side.

kewell is not only injury prone, but looks to have lost that yard of pace that he had, for any wide player that is a huge problem. He may only end up being a slimmer version of Andy Reid - incidently also injury prone

I think the wages he'd want are more pertinent than the initial transfer fee tbh..
