Whoa boy whoa......one step at a time !Delighted for Harry. His transformation is nothing short of amazing. I also think he should go for Prime Minister.

So Gazza would have been a good captain then? That's an interesting term but undoubtedly any form of positive "leadership" requires the mutual respect of the team members...otherwise it becomes a dictatorship and to coin an awful media term 'the dressing room is lost'. To me a good captain has to show leadership skills and two of those ingredients are to be popular with your squad and also have the footballing prowess to prove your inclusion in the team is merited on playing ability also. By popular I don't mean an easy touch but more in the manner that Poch handles the players....they love him to bits but they also respect his decisions and usually accept them. 'Leadership' is not really a quality as it can be both good or bad...it is a power given to someone and whether or not they abuse that privilege is their decision. That is why to my mind, with Harry being both popular and skilful he should be given the captaincy in order to enhance and improve his leadership qualities.
Just a thought.....
Might have been the making of him.... the responsibility that being captain entails may just have calmed him down a bit too...shame we'll never know.So Gazza would have been a good captain then?
Southgate said in a press conference that it's "the same situation as when Cahill captained us" recently for two consecutive games, and he wouldn't be pressed for whether Harry (or anyone else) would be made permanent captain.Harry keeps the captaincy for the France game...maybe Southgate has decided to stick with him. Hope so....
