I've been going for over 20 years now. I usually find my enthusiasm to go wanes towards the end of the season.

I can't believe it's already happened after 3 games. I'm not sure if its spurs, or the ongoing problems with my teenager. However, it just seems like a waste of my weekend to travel to spur.

So Mr Levy's promises (all false) about DNA and philosophy are not doing it for you.

I can understand people talking about Mr Levy dictating their enthusiasm for their supporting of the club. However he doesn't own their emotion. The love for the club and the optimism thereof is present throughout. Daniel has made many mistakes which I have been very vocal about but I don't think his aim or objective is anywhere near as abject as some of the absolute fucks we have had in charge in the past.

I'm not expecting bielsa ball. Even Poch's teams were boring at times. I just want to see us have a bit more of a go in games.

Levy's comment seems a bit foolish now.

I can accept a couple of losses, but there are a couple of things I've got big problems with at the moment:

The lack of creativity and actual excitement in front of goal, very boring and predictable football
I highly doubt whether that will change much over the next couple of months
Not many likeable players in the squad and the lack of real passion, believe and bravery (that certainly includes the manager as well)

I will watch the matches, but do I look forward to watch us or do I have much hope for this team? Absolutely not. Everything we do at the moment screams midtable imo.

But do you not think that will come over the 2 years that this inevitable tear down and rebuild that we have been putting off for two years will yield ?

Apologies if already posted but its this sort of thing that makes me feel MORE connected to the club.

No waste from the club going to landfill is an achievement we should all be proud of.

No offence, but I couldn't give a fuck. Yes it's a nice thing but I wouldn't say i'm proud of it. Right now there's not much to be proud of at all and it all seems a bit straw clutching. First carbon emissions game, this, Levy's plant based wig and all the other 'nice' things.

But nothing on the pitch. It's all actually getting tiresome now. All these fuck-all things, too many of them, each are good, fine and noble things in isolation, i'm not denying it, but fucking hell. If the club started to put some of the same sort of effort into the football team, it'd be nice.

Feels like 2004 all over again. Back then it was 15 years and one European qualification. Now it's 15 years and one League Cup. The place stinks of desperation and everyone wants Levy gone.

I have no shame in saying that I am dreading Sunday. Yes, arguably Goons are on the same boat but they have a philosophy and attempt to play most days whereas our lot have regularly done no shows for two and a half years.

You sound like a man who puts all the wrong things in his various recycling bins; finds composting disgusting; and uses far too much laundry detergent.

Maybe we can make them turn it into points for the league table. Or something.

No i don’t think I’ve ever felt this disconnected.

Somehow it feels like we’ve gone full circle in terms of our playing squad to when ENIC first took over. Abysmal recruitment. What was built has been squandered and the club will be viewed as a career dead end for talented young players.

I don't feel disconnected at all. It's all part of being a supporter of any club, through fair weather and foul. Then again I'm 55 years old, not a millennial that feels entitled to success being served up with his McDonald's delivery. I loved Spurs when David Kerslake, Jason Dozzell and Andy Gray were serving up a special kind of mediocrity and I'll keep on loving Spurs through this particularly poor spell. Keep the faith, luvs.

For first time ever I actually won't bother trying to watch the game online tonight and I'm actually struggling to answer to myself whether that makes me a shit fan or not.
I'm 39 so I've seen alot of shit teams over the years but that never stopped me watching a game even in the dark old days when before a ball was kicked you were hoping for a draw and chuffed if we won.
Maybe I'm alone in this but watching the match these days almost feels like validating the ownership & the poor decisions they have made over the last 4/5 years and I don't want to do that.

I went to the stadium, as a guest, for the first time at the weekend. Yes, its amazing - the first walk in to the wall of sound was sincerely jawdropping. However, I reflected over my (underwhelming) cheese board and (not bad) Malbec at halftime that perhaps this wasn't really a football club anymore - its an entertainment corporation. It is in danger of becoming all artifice.

As an example: Spurs have employed loads of local youngsters to work in hospitality - good thing. However, every waiter and waitress who served us didn't have a clue as to what they were doing, they hadn't been trained in silver service (not a cheap restaurant), they hadn't been allowed to try the food or the wine. They had obviously never experienced a meal of the type we were having. They had no connection or pride in the job, they were just serving rich people. I wasn't annoyed that they didn't know to open a bottle of wine at the table and offer to let someone try it. I was annoyed that no one cared enough to teach them. Which I patronisingly pointed out like the twat I am. They also tried to overcharge us by over £100!

We sat there overlooking the High Rd, watching 'the plebs' queue up in the rain. Separate, dry and cushioned from real life. To add, I am incredibly grateful to the very nice people who took me and gave me, apart from the shite second half, a really great day out that I would otherwise be unable to afford.

What my rant is slowly revealing (only to myself?) is that I think we are incredibly top down and micro managey and that doesn't leave room for anyone else to own or care about the details. And also, perhaps, the players and management are so cushioned from real life that they have lost all concept of the passion needed to succeed? The team looked bereft of passion, leadership and brotherhood.

Bring back pissy terraces and cups of Bovril basically.

Stadium staff are usually just from an agency from my experience.

I've worked at lord's, Epsom downs, the Emirates etc while I was at uni.

"Have you ever felt more disconnected?" could be the title of the official history of Covid. Chin up, things will get better.
