It was kicked straight at him, for it to be a goal he would have had to dive out the way.

If that was Robbo that had made that save everyone would have said it was an average save because it was straight at him.

If we're welcoming a goalkeeper for just one save they've made, I'd welcome that England goalkeeper who made that great save to stop John Hartson scoring for Wales. Now who was that...

Probably one of the worst posts I've seen on here. A youtube video, of a single, average, reaction save convinced you?

While I agree that Robinson is in a slump, do you think you can watch this video and see which one sells each keeper better? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HRqhNNvcmxU

Thats it then that robbo must have been abducted by aliens because that robbo is not the one i see down the lane week in week out.

to be fair, he still makes reaction saves like that every week. It's not reaction saves tat have ever been his problem & you could make a video of the ones he's made this year and make him look shit hot.

My point is, any youtube compilation can make any keeper look good. Seeing one, avaerage reaction save from kameni & deciding that automatically makes him a better choice than Robbo is just plain daft.

The save wasnt actually straight at him..it was above him and no keeper stand with their hands above their head from a starting position! The save was excellent but one save doesnt make him a good keeper.. Any keeper playing in europes best leagues will be able to make a youtube compilation making them good without a doubt!

Are there any of him coming off his line like a bull with a Tabasco enema, scattering everyone in his path like ninepins? Or his not-terribly-good kicking and distribution?

That video is speeded up somehwat, so impossible to tell how good that save was.

But the problem with Robbo isn't his reaction saves like that, in fact he is probably one of the best reaction save goalkeepers in the prem. The problem is when you give him time to think about what he is doing, such as free kicks and corners, that's when he screws up.

How come?

they're so rash. they make these 'one for the camera' saves.
they'd rather punch it than catch it.

this is not a racist thing, same goes for brazilian keepers.

You shouldn't think that all African goalkeepers are going to be like that just because the few you've seen might be. It is a bit racist.

ZMOGZZZ I SAW RASIAK SCORE A GOAL ON YOUTUBE LETS BUY HIM FOR 50MILLION!!!! ROFL.

Erm in other news, having watched the video, I really miss the old Robbo. He was awesome the first season he was here. And then he plummeted horrifically to the level of an 83 year old leper. Woe be he.

He is very similar to quite a few of our players who when faced with options tend to chose the wrong one.I do believe they lack what I would call -'football intelligence' - a lack of awareness to dangerous situations and unimaginative when in possession.
