ITKs were all over this one hey....

Pretty sure Archibald over on Spurs Odyssey called it.

Archibald has also said it's meant to be a permanent deal eventually, but some contract issue meant it can only be a loan at this point.

Let's give the kid a chance.

I dont know if anybody else noticed but before the 1st leg of the Hearts game there was an interview with Harry at the training ground and they showed clips of players training and Iago was 100% there next to Aaron Lennon. So it seems he's already been training with us for at least a week...

Anyone know if he featured for the Spanish U21 side in the summer euro championships there?

Perhaps, but it's hardly showing ambition is it?
Are you suggesting we shouldn't sign any young players?
Juventus got him to sign a new contract before loaning him to us because they have high hopes so he wont be joining on a free.
I thought this was just a rumour? If it's true then it's a bit strange, but we've obviously seen something we like in the guy and there must be an agreed fee to buy him if that's the case.

i saw him play a couple of seasons ago when he was loaned to bari. he played in a friendly match. he is very gifted technically but seemed a little bit lightweight. his best position is behind a striker like van der vaart but can play on the wing too. he has vision and can pick a pass.

How can we go from looking at signing Diarra (an experienced DM) to an attacking midfielder with little experience. Only at Spurs!

Never heard of him, so can't comment further. Let's hope he's quality!

Competition for Lennon can only be a good thing. Although it does say he is a left sided midfielder.

Think this could be a very astute signing, if he doesn't have to be registered.

Its like signing Dos Santos, without the commitment and risk, we get to view him and watch him train, play cup matches, and check out his attitude and talent without having to spend any money. Willing to assume that there is a buy out clause for us otherwise I cannot see what would be in it for us.

We're officially broke.

Actually if you go and look at our accounts (which is all over the internet) you will see that that is far from the case.

I would like to make it clear that the current fad in italy is putting them out on Loan for a season which is then made permanent. So it could be basically a signing.

This is a strange one, does he take up a squad place? Do we have an option to buy?

Why is he not good enough for Juve's first team but good enough for ours? It's not like Juve have an amazing squad.

A bit bizarre but at least it shows we're thinking outside the box with our targets, but just seems odd to take him on loan. If we scouted him and he's good then why not just buy him? Can't of cost that much.

Anyone else find it a bit weird that he's been training with us for at least a week but the deal was only announced tonight?

No, its called being a trialist, they are incredibly common in the world of football. You rarely hear about them, because normally nothing happens. He clearly impressed. I suspect if his loan is a success we have a agreement to sign him.
