Partick Thistle always had a soft spot for them, and hope they one day become the giants of Scotland:whistle:

I really like Klopp.

Trouble is I remember the media frenzy when they last went close and it was sickening, with Klopp there it would be that times ten thus forcing me into hating a manager who looks like the kind of bloke you'd love to work for.

I actually supported Chelsea for a game last time too, for which I still wake up feeling more guilty than a member of the glitter band who turned a blind eye.

If we're talking teams that can realistically win it.....then I'd say City. Chelsea, United, Arsenal, Liverpool would all be too upsetting for a host of different reasons.

Out of the regular top 6 teams I'd pick City.
Yeah, they've got a shit tonne of money, but their fans aren't complete tossers, and they generally employ managers who are somewhat likeable. The media don't get carried away about them either.

Outside the top 6, I wouldn't have an issue with Everton winning it.

It's hard not to like Klopp. The media do go a bit overboard but he's charismatic, seems to have integrity, represents his club well (not like Jose - lol) and his teams play great football. He's a great fit for Liverpool - exactly what they needed.......unfortunately!

Disagree - I'd rather have a manger like Pochettino.
Klopp has enthusiasm for the game, but he needs to get control over it rather than let it spill out.
He just seems a bit of a media whore to me....

City. Hollow success. Means fuck all to me if they win it.

No to the following l:
Woolwich win is a no go. They are our rivals. I want them to die.
United because Jose is a prick and I have so many United supporting friends
Liverpool because they are the biggest self righteous arse holes in the world. We will be unbearable when we win it but they would be worse x100.
Chelsea because they are just scummy to the core.

Over on the other board I frequent (yeah, I know...) I started the following thread, and I thought I'd post the same thing here and see what happens...

"I've thought long and hard about this and I know I'm going to upset a few by saying how I feel, but if Tottenham don't win the Premiership this season, then the club I'd like to see win it is... Liverpool.

City have won it recently, Chelsea have won it recently, United have won it recently, and there's now way I could ever hope for a scum victory....So if we don't win it, I would choose Liverpool, who are playing fantastic football and who've never won it.

There, I've said it.

So if not us, then who would the rest of you like to see win it"?

If we don't win it then I'd really like Arsenal to win it and if that's not possible then I'd really like Chelsea to win it

Would be great to keep it in London and I'd be really happy for all my lovely Arsenal and Chelsea mates

City for me as they're not a direct rival and their fans aren't as insufferable as others. They've bought success but have tried to keep some level of class about them, unlike those ****s in blue. United had their time, their fans are annoyingly entitled and twats like Mourinho don't help. Arsenal are our rivals, don't want them to be successful. Liverpool fans are just deluded fucks.

Dear Lawd...Liverpewel [spits]!!!

It's an interesting question and will shows a lot of different mindsets how people respond. (I'm guessing you have the attacking football should win out perspective)

Personally I think Liverpool winning would be the worst thing from a Spurs perspective. I see them as a direct rival for making the top four. They have the fan base and media focus along with high sponsorship deals but what they don't have is recent success that could make players want to go to them. If they were to achieve that success then I could see them becoming a new power in the English game as they could potentially attract a better standard of player than they currently can (and they could afford the wages as they have high sponsorship deals and turnover).

Personally I'd want City to win as it would have little to no impact on Spurs. They have a bottomless pit of money and can already attract top players so this wouldn't adversly affect us. They are the epitome of everything that's wrong with the modern game but them winning would have no impact on Spurs as it's expected.

Compare that to other contenders
  • Arsenal (another season without the title)
  • Utd (even Jose can't get them the title)
  • Chelsea (souless club with success the only reason for players being there)
  • Other clubs - Yet another rival to us making it into the English elite

This.
And, aside from anything to do with the fans: it's about self-interest. We are the sixth best financed club in the country. They are the fifth. They are former members of the SKY 4. We have just been through a tremendous struggle to swap places with them. We've pretty much done that now - finished above them (comfortably in some instances) in six of the last seven seasons. They still generate higher revenues than us, though, and they have increased the capacity of their stadium 2 years before us doing so. Them winning the league now, getting the financial boost, the boost from increased sponsorship, etc., the boost financial and status that would come with appearing in the CL again, could (not will) see them leap-frogging us again for at least another half decade, maybe a decade or more. How could any self-respecting Spurs supporter actually will that to happen?

And then there are the fans. Any attempt to debate with them, even when we have finished above them in six out of the last seven seasons, is met with Wharruv ya won, wharruv ya won. It's their answer to everything. You only need to see the stuff posted from their forums, they actually dismissed us before this season began with comments like a club who don't win things. And that's it. We can improve, we can finish above them, but these are their answers. That will be 100* worse if they won the league, the Premier league, at last...and under Klopp. The Fappathon would carry us into the third Millenium.

Dunno, maybe Norwich...always had a soft spot for them. Perhaps they could launch a lightening raid over the border from the Championship, give Liverpewel a swift kick to the happy sack, snatch the BPL trophy and flee back to Championship Land with it. If it had to be a club from the city of Liverpewel I would rather it was Everton to that shower of sh*te. Or Citeh as others have said.

Or, as @ShaunL84 says, end this defeatist talk - we are 3 points off top, unbeaten, with the best defence, and all our strikers/forward players are gonna come back, settle in, get back on form!

Anyone but Liverpool

The Klopp media wank-fest is already on the vinegar strokes, imagine if they actually won something

City, I don't fee anything for them, no malice no jealousy, nothing. And in my mind they should be winning it anyway so when they do win I couldn't really care less.

This. 100%. Totally ambivalent to them, they should win everything

Also: poll?
