No they can't. What bank is going to lend say west ham money when there is a good chance of them getting relegated? It may happen but the interest rates would be through the roof.
Teams (west ham included) borrow for transfer fees they will receive that season but no further.
west ham who need to stay in the premier league more than most because of their new stadium might well gamble money they don't have to ensure they stay up.

Which bank would lend to them? They already have massive debt that needs to be cleared before they move into the new stadium. The boelyn money is already ear marked to pay off some of it. A bank is not stupid enough to lend them money on the hope that they stay up, there are probably only 6 clubs in the premier league that they would.

The owners themselves might borrow the money but then they are limited to what they can invest due to ffp. It's for this reason that sullivan and gold are trying to find someone to buy 20% of the club.

As a spurs fan of over 30 years I can say this , it is all doom and gloom ! However as a spurs fan of over 30 years I also 100% believe we will sign more , play better and have an season full of beating gooners , chavs and mancs. COYS

In other words: being a Spurs fan for over thirty years has made me insane.

I think the best we can hope for is 6th...but we will be quite a few points off of 5th place.

I'm excited for the future after seeing the stadium plans. But we haven't made any signings this summer that have me particularly optimistic for the coming season. I'm glad we've kept our best players. I believe in the future of this club. I just don't think it instills much hope for the next campaign

If we don't sign anymore players we might fall to 6th.

I don't think Liverpool's tactic of buying loads of players will sufficiently improve them but right now we are very light in midfield.

I note Cameron Carter Vickers and Milos Velkjovic have had good reports again. Men ready to go.

If we don't sign anymore KEY players we will finish 8th/9th... prepares for mass flow of negative ratings.

Plus Veljkovic and Carter Vickers.

There you go. No need for more signings.

Club can buy us all an ice cream instead.

I'm taking this as if we are not signing anyone we are also not selling anyone.

Lloris
Trippier Alderweireld Vertonghen Rose
Mason Bentaleb
Lamela Chadli Eriksen
Kane

So pretty much the same team as last season but hopefully with a more natural partner for Vertonghen and a dedicated right back while we wait to see if Walker is to recover.

Add Winks, Onomah, Oduwa etc....

You can see why we are reluctant to go out and spend big when we have such a good crop coming through,

This. That's why we have got rid of some of the players who we have sold. We have as good if not better players in our ranks.

Cannot believe how poor our squad is. Just hope it's some form of masked genius move and the "system" carries us. At least I'll get to play other 4 star teams on FIFA online.
