Sounds like an entourage we will have problems with in the years coming if he ever want a move out of Spurs
I suspect it depends on the nature of the contract with his agency too. Players change agents and the time and I wager if he does join us we will try and push him towards stellar or one of the other agents we work with often who are less of an issue if at all possible.

Makes sense. The agents will make a fat commission on a free transfer. The player though needs to think about his football and not the money.

He does not want to spend the season in the stands. Would screw his development.

Begs the question do his agents work for him or does he work for them?
not sure about the situation here, but i know that in some south american countries players sell a percentage of their rights to agencies to facilitate a move to europe (see: dybala). in a situation like that, the agency has far more control over the player than a typical agent.

like i said though, unsure of ilaix’s situation.

Would assume the agent were planning to get a lot of the 6/8 million Leipzig are now offering to Barca

unfortunately his dad is his agent, wants a fat compensation package for his transfer much like the neymar transfer (much smaller numbers than that) it's a massive problem but uefa is working to change that with new changes in 23 which bans family members from being agents unless they are licensed. Apparently (who knows so many different reports) but his dad wants pretty much the same amount as the fee 15 mil euros

Barça has already communicated to Ilaix that they agree to sell to Tottenham. The deal would close at 15M + bonus. The youth squad must decide if he wants to go to the Premier or is expected to go free next summer to Leipzig

Has it been said why he’d want to go Leipzig, surely we’d be offering more money?

It seems idiotic to sign a pre-agreement 12 months before contract expiry when it isn't binding until 6 months........were they blatantly trying to get Barca to agree a sale at a flee price and it has backfired?

Reading the post above yours it would seem that Leipzig haven't bid anything and want him on a free when his contract is up next summer

According to Google there's a trademark dish in Leipzig of prunes filled with marzipan. Neither is to my taste, but I can only assume that's what Moriba is in to if he chooses them.

Leipzig is offering Barca less and his agents more we are offering Barca more and his agents less. Barca wants to sell to us and is willing to bench him until he leaves for free next year prob because they feel they are receiving nothing from Leipzig or just to annoy his agents as he didn't sign a new contract with them as he wanted more money but that's not that straight forward either.
