Why would he go to Leipzig when he can come to us and line up with one Harold of Kane. You know, the world class striker that Pep and his oil masters wanted on the cheap, only to lose out to Daniel’s febrile (Google it, monkey dicks) negotiating wanger

Monumental mess at the exit of Ilaix Moriba
Barça informs the player that they are in a position to reach a transfer agreement with Tottenham
The agents do not want to go to the Premier for the money of Leipzig, but the player already doubts because he does not want to remain stopped

Barça has ended up putting Ilaix Moriba in trouble. The footballer already informed the Blaugrana club that he was not going to renew and that he was going to German Leipzig either transferred or with the letter of freedom from next June. The idea of the environment of Ilaix was to tighten the Blaugrana club to formalize a low transfer, but the shot has backfired. Barça opened negotiations with several clubs and has informed the footballer that it is in a position to reach a transfer agreement with Tottenham and refuses to sell to Leipzig. The ballot is now in the player's hands.

The footballer's agents closed a pre-agreement with Leipzig a few weeks ago in which they secured a succulent commission and a good token for the player, which would increase in the event that he left with the freedom letter. Last Friday they presented a first offer from Leipzig of six million euros, which later improved to eight million, but there they planted themselves with the threat of going free within a year.

The sports area of Barça picked up the glove and advanced the negotiations with some European clubs, but especially Tottenham. And in the last few hours, an entente has practically been reached for 15 million euros plus a bonus. Today the footballer has been informed of this situation and it has been made clear that they will only accept a sale for a similar amount. Either Leipzig equals those figures or Barça will refuse to sell him and will stay a year without playing with the sporting danger that it entails. Checkmate.

The footballer, who has been putting up with the guy in recent weeks, has already begun to twist his arm and has asked his agents to listen to Tottenham, but his agents do not want to value this option as they have everything agreed with Leipzig. The tension between Ilaix and his environment would now be important. Barça has given until this weekend for them to make a decision and three things can happen. That the player breaks with Leipzig and goes to Tottenham, that Leipzig matches the offer or that everything remains the same and Ilaix stays in the stands for a year. A monumental mess.

Very interesting, for short term gain his family or his father , they would rather risk ruining his whole career potentially?... as Barca threaten to ostracize him from playing (and potentially proper training) for a whole year .... With all the praise and talent everyone is lauding on him from the football side of the business, it seems very dumb, greedy and selfish from his father / family

And it comes across as though the players favour us but again not his agents. So the club wants to sell to us and the player wants to come to us. So it's possible.

What did you end up calling them?

Very responsible and diligent journalists. In case anyone thought I actually perceive them to be "tap-in" merchants. I was trying to express how that's a bullshit attempt at criticism.

Feel for the kid with his father as his agent. Why not listen to your son and stop being a selfish twazzock? If Moriba fulfils his potential he'll end up in the money eventually anyway.

I like the mix of style of players Paratici is lining up. Gil reminds me of David Silva/Modric, Sarr reminds me of Yaya Toure, and this guy has a Pogba air about him. Just something about his running gait and the time he has on the ball and his passing technique.

Wishful thinking maybe, but exciting times to think about having the next Silva/Toure/Pogba midfield!

Original source

Barça has already communicated to Ilaix that they agree to sell to Tottenham. The deal would close at 15M + bonus. The youth squad must decide if he wants to go to the Premier or is expected to go free next summer to Leipzig

According to posters on reddit this source, Albert Roge, is the most reliable reporter out there for news relating to La Masia. Sounds like this is coming directly from the club.

If his family and entourage want RB then it's hard to see him going against them especially when he's so young they will likely convince him to pick their choice

To be fair RB Leipzig are one of the best clubs in Europe in taking young talents and providing a platform for their growth. It's hardly like Leipzig would be a bad fit for him, they're likely losing Sabtizer so there's an opening in the first XI and everything.
I wouldn't say otherwise but the report I commented on was to the effect of his agents wanting RB Leipzig for their own commission reasons.

Of course - he and his agent/family can start earning money now, or sit around for a year and wait until next summer...

Leipzig is offering Barca less and his agents more we are offering Barca more and his agents less. Barca wants to sell to us and is willing to bench him until he leaves for free next year prob because they feel they are receiving nothing from Leipzig or just to annoy his agents as he didn't sign a new contract with them as he wanted more money but that's not that straight forward either.

Oh how times change, especially when money may be thrown around like confetti.

When it comes to renewing, having a coach that backs the kids is key.

"With this dynamic, thanks to Koeman, I am 100 percent thinking of Barça. Why leave? At that age, taking the risk of going to another team when you have a coach that takes a chance on a kid from La Masia in a tough game like the Sevilla one... You have to appreciate that. Hardly anyone does it."

Mental to me the idea that his agents can say to him, no mate wait a year for leipzeig as we (the agents) will get more money. Fuck that, whether it's family or not they are leeches and you need to do what you think is best for your career. If that's Leipzeig then so be it but don't let agents fucking ruin your career so they can profit.
