I don't know the details but I was told there is more to his situation than just money. Something about wanting to sign him up to a really long deal for not much more than he's currently on with a high release clause.
May have a difficult grasp on value if he's looking at teammates and seeing what they are on. Messi was on 10 times that. Now clearly that is not reasonable but he is young and naïve with it. An exciting prospect and with a decent offer i'm sure he could be tempted - just will depend on where he sees opportunity (us) or income (City/Chelsea) as a driving factor. If i was advising him i would go back to Barca and agree a smaller salary with a relatively low buy out as given their issues he could well get time there, establish his reputation and move at a low-ish fee to one of Europe's big teams with the ability to demand a big contract.
Barca wouldn't agree to that because they need the academy now more than ever, that's why they're attempting to back him into a corner and have sent him back to the B team.
I would advise him to leave but pick his next club wisely, pick somewhere where you see a clear pathway, choose a team with an obvious and immediate need, pick a team that has a recent history of rewarding performing young players with new and improved contracts...
Dortmund-bound then?
What sort of player is he? Can only see central midfielder but is he defensive, creative or box to box

Finally ffs
Would love him here.
Because someone’s got to do it
Thanks for that.
Don't see what he offers that Sissoko & Winks don't already provide.

That's fine. If this Kane saga has taught me anything, it's to not get attached to any player and expect them to do a job for a few years before moving on for massive profit. Just put a clause in the contract saying we won't sell to a domestic rival.I think we could have chance but only if we accept that he can get a move to a bigger club in few years time and let him develop while being here.
