Are we sure it is for the money in Germany though? Maybe his dad and agent actually think he will have more opportunity to develop and play regularly in Germany?
What after wasting a year sat on the bench to get there. Hardly sounds like his development is there priority

If our alternatives are Aouar or Kessie, I’d definitely sack this one off, as promising as Moriba is, he agents sound like a proper ball ache, and they’ll be a pain going forward too.

Agents can be changed

Hardest bit is getting a club to agree and the player, we seem to have done both. I think he will be ours

This little saga will be interesting - if he wants to play and get more wages then he comes to us. If he wants to hold out for his agencies better pay day and less wages AND being on the bench for a year then......
His choice will define him, if it's the latter then good riddance

Even if we do sign him his entourage will be a nightmare. His dad sounds as bad as the agents

Surely the player has the final say? If Barca have told him he'll spend an entire year not playing while his contract runs out it's no wonder he personally wants to come to us.

Unfortunately, I don’t think it is uncommon for young players to be unduly influenced and exploited by their agents.

His agent isn't his dad though perhaps the dad has an agreement with the agent, who knows that part isn't clear to me. This is his agency

Well...

I remember this company, they were involved in a shady deal in Polish league. A some kind of consortium/fund from Germany connected to the owner of ROGON bought a Polish club Lechia Gdańsk in 2014 and during the first year of their reign, they bought 44 players.

There were a couple of quality, but mostly there were anonymous players connected to ROGON. One of them, Kevin Friesenbichler, was in the space of a month in 2014, bought by Benfica from Bayern B team (4th league) and immediately loaned to Lechia. According to "Football Leaks", they earned 1 mil euros from Benfica for their "services".

Just look at his career. Feel sorry for him, actually.

I think this is what Herc is talking about when it comes to ethics and integrity, and remembering Trix's comments on Mendes, I think this is why he would like us to step away from this deal.

I don't think this is a well respected agency in football world.

Scroll down through Raiola's known ****ish behaviour and you get to our dear friends ROGON, starting with Draxler's contract in 2013.

Of course - he and his agent/family can start earning money now, or sit around for a year and wait until next summer...
In which case if they want to earn money now their only option is us, people who want money now won't wait another year, if they can show that level of rational planning they won't make a decision based on money now.
Their beef might be with Barcelona but we will be telling them they shouldn't make the wrong decision for their boy just to spite Barca, don't cut off your nose to spite your face.

Ive never been totally convinced on this one - sounds like trouble, not convinced he’s the worldy people are talking about, we have an incoming midfielder in a year’s time

Id have thought there are better options out there

If we get him, great, but there’s a big health warning on this for me

Apparently he was the highest earning player in Barca B history and he still wanted more

If that's the case, I'd be very wary of signing him. He sounds like a little twat who thinks he's already made it but he's only played 14 games for Barca in La Liga, and once again, I believe he has his father as his agent. I feel these arrangements far too often lead to trouble.

it's been already long ago in this thread determined that he has an agency looking after him mate but I do agree it seems like trouble even before we have even started

I think in this case you have to sperate the player from the agency he wants to come to us its agents pushing him for the money. Though down the line the agents will always be problem. But agents can always change.
