This guy is bang average. He will spend a season or two with us before being sold to Real Betis.

With Sarr you can see he has a set of qualities that will translate well to the PL. He's aggressive and dynamic, fairly quick and takes free kicks too whereas with Moriba its all very slow and pedastrian, almost like pogba but without the vision, passing and goals.

I've been reading a Barca forum and a lot of them share your views. They reckon he started well as an impact sub, but once he started he wasn't great. Too safe, slowed down play etc.

He's meant to have had a particularly poor match against Granada (I think). But then others rightly pointed no one was great against Granada, and it really shouldn't be on the shoulders of an 18 year old to get the team playing.

As a caveat some of them don't think Pedri's all that, and at 18 it really is too early to tell how this will go.

I wasn’t blown away by his YouTube, but a bit early to be saying that. I’m open minded, but it’s why I’m relaxed either way

Which roughly translates to “to fit in here you don’t have to be the best, you just have to be better than harry winks”

The 4 year contract Indicates major problems in the future it’s him and his agents

Why is that an issue ?
He has played just 672 minutes of senior football for Barca. IMO, anything more than 4 years will be ridiculous on our part.
We can always give bigger contract next season, if he steps up well

I just think it’s way too early to say. He’s got the physique, but doesn’t look super technical

Have to back the scouts really

He's playing for Barca at just 18 and is supposed to be a generational talent. Pretty sure he will be at least decent and better than Winks for example.

To me it looks like he has good touch, good vision and the ability to hit long passes with surprisingly little effort, which would suggest to me that he has good technique as well. He seems to try to use his body well too. Some of those flicks to Messi show the above. I can see him developing into a very good 8, but we will just have to see how he gets on.

Any player under the age of 19 should be looking to sign a 5/6 year contract. Anything less, typically ( and I admit not always the case) would indicate that his development is not his primary focus. Once he starts performing, he will get offered a better contract anyway, but it’s all about mindset.

I'm also a little cautious about this one. The problem with buying players based on potential is that people just read into this however they like. Over on COYS people were already saying he is going to be "world class"!! I think we have to reign in our expectations a bit, and if we do end up signing him it doesn't negate the need to sign a first team player in this position who can slot in immediately. Overall I'm happy that we are trying to build for the future though.

A four year contract doesn’t give huge wiggle room.
Basically a season to bed in, a season to stake his claim. After that, if another contract or extension isn’t signed, we’d basically be looking to sell so he doesn’t reach the final year of his contract and his value starts to drop.

Still, might be a decent money ball project. Who knows.

I watched the YT vids and I wasn’t overly convinced, but that is such a small sample size that it’s difficult to fairly judge.

Guess we’ll see what happens, and that, I’m comfortable with if the club think it’d be a good move.

如果要踢到呢個位,你唔需要係最勁既球員,但起碼你要勁過哈利榮斯

No need to thank me
