Is it important we buy in January?

We have no creativity in the middle when Modric is not fit, Redknapp hardly rotates the squad, we're not in the CL and cup competitions are not deemed important, so it is very difficult for any player outside the first team to get games.

Marco Reus please. One of few strikers who touches the ball as much as Ade by playing deep, while also scoring for fun and likely to improve with age. I think he's both top-class and stylistically suited for us (ie. not just a goalscorer) - a rare opportunity.

Out of our league and unlikely to leave Germany, but he'd face less competition for places here than Bayern and maybe we've accumulated a massive pot of gold by now thanks to our frugality in the last few windows. I'd be happier splashing 25m on him or Lewandowski than Rossi/Soldado/Nilmar etc.

Guiseppe Rossi , Nilmar, Lucas Barrios, Huntelaar or Mario Gotze

Is Rossi back playing? I can still see Harry being interested as he clearly rates him and I can see Villarreal selling now and trying to rebuild their team. Could be a go-er. If he could get back to the player he was before, he'd be brilliant for us imo. Nilmar's a good player too. Can see us being interested in Dembele as well. Watched him yesterday against Chelsea and the ball is stuck to his feet at times. Really hard to get the ball off and has a bit of pace too. Maybe a bit lazy off the ball though.

sure it's so important

we've away games vs City, Liverpool, Arsenal, Chelsea, and even the likes of Everton, Villa, Sunderland & Bolton, you can't expect them to be poor so long.

we must improve by buying :
1. top defender as King condition, Gallas & Dawson recent injuries ( which allows as to use Kaboul as right back for away games as Corluka lost all his best, may be need to be loaned )
2. Winger who can cover both of Lennon & Bale as well as VDV ( may be Marin or Ruiz etc.. )
3. better striker than Pav; as we can't count on Adebayor only, it's also because he is on loan, and not available vs City.

without this, we could struggle in 2nd half of the season.

From the PL I would like to see us move for Hoilett and Dembele. I'd also like to see if we can re-sign Zamora as insurance for Ade (this wouldn't preclude us signing another striker).

From elsewhere I don't really know, but we need a striker, a GK, a tough-tackling CM, and a winger.

If they are available in Jan all well and good, if not to the summer then fine.

agreed with this, but didn't expect you to put CM priority more than CB. Hudd and Sandro still there, we might need better backup than Livermore, but i would someone very cheap there.

HARRY REDKNAPP wants Spurs to shake up the Premier League title race with one massive signing next month.

What are Kaka's wage demands like?

Come on, Johno, that's a pile of...er...Kaka

But where would he play?

Parker/Modric

Kaka VDV Bale

Adebayor

:eek:mg::eek:mg::eek:mg:

Poor old Scotty would have to run his poor little bollox off in a side reminiscent of an Ossie 'Wot the fook is defence?' Ardiles outfit

King is one so who is the other?

Rafael Van Der Vaart, in 2002 he had a serious knee injury and subsequent recurrence led to him having major surgery. He now plays without the meniscus cartilage in his knee - a situation similar to that of Tottenham club captain Ledley King.

It's a major reason why he picks up niggling injuries and has only played about 30 / 35 games a season on average since 2002

Pretty much agree with that Sloth.

I don't understand why people think substandard back up for Ade. He could quite conceivably not sign for us in the summer and then we would be left with someone like Kenwyne Jones or Bobby Zamora up front. We need a high quality replacement now to both push Ade and cover ourselves from being left short in the summer.

Zamora on the bench would be great, but he won't come here to spend the rest of his days on our bench. Hoillet and Dembele are not signings that will improve our first team, they would only really improve our bench marginally.

If I was taking anyone from Fulham it would be Brian Ruiz. The guy quietly impresses in every little cameo I see. Great technique, intelligent, cool head would be a massive improvement on Pav and has proved he's happy to bide his time an earn his place.

Bit late for that now though isn't it? Should have snapped him up in the summer - would have been a capable stand in for Ade and Lennon.

lets just say he doesnt sign for us after we are third. u think if we are willing to spend, no world class forward is willing to come over for a guarantee starter spot, fighting for the title?

Yeah said the same myself a couple of weeks ago. Ruiz is a very good technically, but the jury is still out for me. Saying that Ben Arfa has lovely technique as well...his goal yesterday reminded of Huddlestone's at City a few years back, not quite as impressive but it was a similar technique required, coming over the ball like that.
