Make sure u watch Chelsea's game and our game on MOTD tonight, i'm sure u'll start thinking straight then.

SWP is a better player than Lennon. Just as dangerous, but with a far superior cross and shot. When he was at Man City, he was awesome. I read that he scored 11 league goals for City in his last season there, none of which were penalties.

We don't put him through behind the full back enough... Most of the time our build up play is so slow that by the time Lennon gets the ball, he's stationary, or facing our goal... His acceleration isn't as good as his out and out pace, so is more effective when given the ball already running...

Plus, he's only 20... Plus, defenders usually double up on him...

he is quick but his crossing is poor, even if it has improved of late. his game is too limited and someone like taraabt or even routledge would offer more. doesn't bother me to see his name on the team sheet as he has his moments, and defenders are generally terrified of his pace

Yeah, a bit. Actually, quite a lot. When he first broke into the team, you expected him to do something every time he got the ball. Now, however, he doesn't seem to frighten defenders with his pace in the same way as he used to. Obviously he still has that pace, but he just doesn't make the most of it. People say his end product isn't good enough - for me, this is bollocks. The problem is that he doesn't beat his man as often as a player with his pace and ability should.

I disagree with you about his acceleration. If anything, his acceleration is his number one asset. It used to be one step away from the defender and he was out of reach. Now, that's not the case, not that I can put my finger on why. It has to be a psychological thing though, and something that really needs to be sorted out before he sees his whole career go to waste.

To say we don't put him through behind the full back enough is true, but it shouldn't be. No doubt we have most success with him when playing like that, but he should be able to offer more. For him not to be able to beat his man with the ball at his feet just isn't good enough.

Stop fucking bitching. You're being stupid. How many better right wingers are there in the prem ? 1 ? 2 ?

He once again set up a goal, and two other one v ones.

He has learning to do but FFS he's only 20 and he's a winger. And he does scare defenders why the fuck do you think there's always at least two on him ?

Better Shot - Yes
Better Cross - No

I watched him deliver 7 crosses this afternoon of which only 1 went close(ish) to Drogba.
1 went into the upper tier of the south stand and the others were cleared by the nearest defender.

He was great at City, but if you compare the player he is now, against the player Lennon is now (forget the fact SWP is 6 years older) I personally think Lennon is just as good.

I think he's definitely a Ramos type player. But he's still got a lot to learn. Hunt had a thankless task trying to keep him under control today. Lennon bested him on several occasions, but Hunt stuck at it.

Then 12 minutes from time, Hunt saw his chance at the other end. Where was Lennon? Standing on the edge of the area as the equaliser was tucked away.

You're right, he's amazing. Because he plays for Spurs. And everyone else who plays for Spurs is amazing. And we're brilliant at defending set pieces. Better?

Eek

Watched a different game to me mate. Apart from 1 lovely ball through to JJ where was his end product? got in to loads of great positions but his final ball was shocking

How about his beauty of a pass to put Berba in for our 1st goal?

Or his ball across the 6 yard box in the 2nd half when Berba trod on it with the goal at his mercy?

We should cash in on him and buy someone who can produce consistently good crosses and passes. Sell him for £8m and buy Bently for £10m I say.

I've no problem at all with criticising our players, but just apply you're brain first.

I've criticised Lennon myself at times. But lately he's creating goals or great chances nearly every game (just recently he';s set up goals or great chances against ManC home, Pompey, ManC away, Arsenal, Fulham, & Reading. Thats nearly a set up a game over the last few.

He needs to work harder at helping off the ball but FFS he's a 20 yo winger, and genuinly does seem to be wroking on that since Ramos arrived.

SWP is OK but basically is a kick and run winger. He can barely get a game for Chelsea.

Apart from Ronaldo who would you realistically replace him with who would guarantee you an improvement in creativity and effort.

Its 700% more than what we bought him for
So forget the fact he's a 20 year old England international equal amongst the majority of his peers.

We bought him cheap, so lets just make a quick buck on him?

Good thing you dont run our club.

Oh and isnt Theo Walcott more of a striker?
