Reading this i'm not sure Adriano is wanting to go anywhere on loan.

Inter are prepared to sanction a loan deal for the forward, but Adriano is only keen to leave on a permanent basis.

Hasn't Adriano over the last season or so actually shown himself up to be rather poo?

I'm sure Defoe will be brilliant for someone else. I just hope it's to Chelsea and not Villa, Pompey or any of the "chasing" teams like us.
However the whole SWP/Defoe swap thing is prob bollocks anyway.

It is, but then Levy is a business man and he is looking for the best deal he can for us, I was honestly surprised when we managed to find someone willing to pay 6 million for Mido.

and Mido has scored 2 goals in two games....more than all current four spurs strikers combined could do in the last 4 games

Fulham paid £6m for Diomansy Kamara (and the Barcodes for the Emmerdale Eminem).

It's one thing getting the best deal for the club, but if we fail to land a player we really want for the sake of £2m (peanuts these days, let's face it) isn't that rather cutting off your nose to spite your face?

Defoe the simple solution…..

I am surprised that with Jermain's contract running down no one has suggested to him a quite simple solution. I would offer him a one year extension to his contract with a clause in it saying if a club comes in with £10 Million then you are free to go to them, and if he decideds he wants to stay at anytime then he can sign an improved contract with this clause removed, this way both parties are happy.

Jermain Defoe will not leave on a free transfer and Spurs will get a substantial fee for their asset, if he decides to leave the club at anytime then he will be able to.

The only problem I can see is if Defoe decides that he wants to go on a free transfer and earn the big bucks or if the club want to make the most off their asset. If either is true then there is a problem. If Defoe does not agree to the contract, and there is no reason why he should not, then sell him. End of.

Another point if Villa are willing to stump up the cash for Defoe, an offer of part exchange with Agbonglahor or Luke Moore might not be such a bad idea.

Im not sure Spurs would be ahppy letting him go for 10 mil when 15 mil is currently been banded around in the press

it seems to me that Defoe is deliberatlely running down his contract for long term gain and no small measure of revenge in his eyes. all this at the probable expense of his playing career in the immediate future. first class cock sucker.

is Sky Andrew his agent?

I think it's time to say Goodbye to Jermaine. He's defiantly a Yiddo, but a world class striker like Defoe should not be sitting on the bench year after year. Three world class strikers is enough for the club and that will give the youngsters ample opportunity to shine in the first team.

Hmmm... I would suggest that possibly only 1 of our 4 strikers is world class (3 guesses which one). Defoe is quite a long shot from world class, would he start in any of the top 4 teams? Personally i dont think so.

god defoe is overrated. his shots to target ratio is low his shots on target to conversion is low, his games to goals is low. he's deceptively slow, he's greedy, his running is poorly timed his decisions on and off the ball are enigmatic to say the least. Defoe Underwhlems me as a footballer to extradordinary degrees. He'll sit on every bench from 8th upwards. If he's lucky enough to get the opportunity to sit on the bench for Chelsea and pick up a medal for his 11 starts, then he should bite Jose's arm off at the elbow.

I doubt it will come down that,he would piss off Jol and the supporters big time if that happened. I definitely agree he should just the deal instead of pissing about. Its US that really should be giving Chelsea 5 million extra.

Defoe saga has dragged on long enough. Rumours about a soured relationship between Jol and Defoe (I also heard Lennon) have been milling around for ages. Lets sell/swap/part exchange and be done with it! *Please* Commoli and Levy lets not eff it up like we did with Petrov...don't really need a unhappy and expensive 4th choice striker seeing out his contract

Actually, it's pretty good, but there isn't much else there I'd disagree with. Even for Pompey and Villa he's not going to be an automatic first choice, and those saying he'll suddenly blossom when he moves on need to take a long hard look at his record.
