Alan Brazil was probably onto his 3rd or 4th bottle of wine by then so I wouldn't take much notice of what he says.

We need 3 genuine strikers in the squad so I don't want us to sell any. We've enough on our plate trying to sign a LB, creative player and probably a Bale replacement, all in the space of 2 weeks.

When I lived in Canary Wharf I used to see Brazil sauced up all of the time, usually in the Marriott! Actually I think Allardyce lives above the Marriott.

Haha yeah he can also be found in the bar in Waitrose enjoying a drink or ten.

Disappointed I am still yet to see Benny.

He just re-tweeted this...

(although it looks like he's at his mate's house so he might have just grabbed his phone and done it  )

I may have read it in the wrong way, but I believe one of JD's mates has just tweeted saying he was on JD's twitter tonight (i.e. it was him that retweeted it).

The retweet is also now deleted.

Phew, thought poor Defoe had his account "hacked" there for a minute.

We might have "looked more likely to score" when Defoe came on but we actually DID SCORE when Soldado was on (Soldado scoring no less)

We probably looked more likely to score after we were ahead because Palace had to push for a goal and actually leave space behind their defence to be exploited. Defoe then had a clear run on goal but lacked the pace to capatlise and was easily shut down by their defender and his second opportunity he did well to set up but dragged a pretty woeful shot wide when he should have wrapped the game up

I'm sure it wasn't Defoe himself who retweeted that comment but the person who originally posted it is chatting shite, of course we looked more likely to score when they gave us space behind them instead of defending for their lives to hold for a draw. Facts are facts Soldado scored and JD did not

My dad had dinner in the same restaurant as Defoe last night and was sitting on the table next to him. Asked Defoe is he's staying and if he's excited for the new season. Defoe said it's a great squad but he needs to be playing and isn't sure what's going to happen.

How can we sell him?We would have one striker.Surely being part of a re-juvenated spurs is better than playing for a mediocre team like Stoke.
