Watching Defoe play as a lone striker makes me want to punch myself in the throat. However, he's given us enough years and enough goals that he deserves the chance to choose what he wants to do. He has a fairly good chance of making the world cup squad given the lack of options in the England squad and can decide whether he is better off securing that by playing cup and sub games for us or 30+ games in the Championship (where he would run riot IMO).

You'd imagine so but it's hard to keep up with our transfer activity as its just one bg revolving door this summer.

Is Kane really good enough to be an option? The only time I saw him play was against Monaco.

He's not bad, he's actually improved a lot and people forget he's only 20. I'd be happy for him to be 3rd choice personally.

We need 3 genuine strikers in the squad so I don't want us to sell any. We've enough on our plate trying to sign a LB, creative player and probably a Bale replacement, all in the space of 2 weeks.
