This is genius PR by Levy. He will have seen the backlash from the fans on ESL so sacks Mourinho early to get the fans back. I fcuking love Levy. #InLevyWeTrust
If it’s true Jose was sacked for refusing to take training in protest at the Super League it is PR genius by Jose.

Either a sudden overnight breakdown in relations or we have someone already lined up.

I think we maybe trying to push with the German guy before Bayern get in. Would prefer Rodgers though if I could pick.

Never a dull moment. Does anyone haver a source for the suggestion that he refused to take players out to train because of the super league proposal? I can't find it anywhere else. Or is it just someone here starting an irresponsible rumour?
The latter it is believed.

It seems to be a nonsensical suggestion.

Jose the guy that has worked for the russian gangsta at Chelsea multiple times and i can gaurantee you, if he is offered a job by any of the other ESL teams, he will take it or maybe he has realised his time at the top is finished.

I quite like it. If he'd stayed in charge and we were to win Sunday, it would all be about him "Look what I did that Pochettino and others couldn't."

I never thought he was a good appointment but, wanting success for the club above anything else, I wanted to be proven wrong.

Come on you Spurs!!!

The rumour stems from a troll account. Never a good start.

It doesn’t seem a very Jose thing to do leaving on moral grounds.

Ah I see - didnt see the troll account.

But it does seem a very Jose thing to do to leave on moral grounds. He is a football man.

Never like seeing a Manager sacked as that means as team we have not performed, that the across the organisational from the board to the players.

If the rumor is true then you can see he's done that deliberately to save his ego and nothing else... If he knew he was going to lose his job, he would have been looking for some means to save face. So I won't give him any respect in saying this about morals, it only about his ego and about himself.

Will wait and see who we get in now.

Have to disagree on your 2nd point. He managed under Abramavich twice.

It could have been a tactical decision. Leave a job going badly under the pretense of it being a moral decision.

Can't believe how much doomsaying I'm seeing. It's been a wonderful 24hrs. Time to get back to where we belong. Amongst the 3 best teams in the country.. I'm suitably impressed with Levy. End of the year would have been too late.

Surely that would give grounds for dismissal without payoff?
I personally think it was a great compromise between 2 men that deeply respect each other.. Nice one Jose Nice one Daniel.. Reckon it was the result for all parties.. Jose will get a nice pay off just not £30mil.
