So, if we sign Foyth, we will effectively have 6 CBs (Dier, Foyth, Jan, Toby, Sanchez and CCV). Granted, Foyth/Dier can play in midfield. Wimmer's obviously on his way out in this scenario. I personally would love it, even with Sanchez. CCV would hopefully be a loan candidate. He needs time (a lot of time).
loan ccv to ajax in return, dier as rotation option to wanyama and sanchez, foyth to be the backup(y)

I don't see Ajax accepting players on loan. They are a big club. They will prefer to raise one of their own instead
chelski's bertrand traore was on loan to ajax last season
but still i can't see ajax loaning ccv, just my hope...

But I think he was someone they wanted to loan, since he previously played for Vitesse.
CCV would be a player we would somehow impose to them, so I don't see it

Yes but I'm pretty sure that loan had either a view to a permanent or a purchase option. Seeing as Traore was sold at the beginning of this window.

Ajax historically do not develop other team's young talents. They briefly appeared to have done kind of deal with Barcelona but that seems dead now.

So this could still happen? Seems crazy but why not if Poch rates him. Buy all the defenders!

Sports Witness saying we've bid €13m for him, and beaten Juve's offer - so it seems he is now coming here! unless our offer was a safety net for potentially Sanchez not coming.

El Dia also now saying we've outbid PSG at €13m

It seems pretty clear that if Veron finally accepts our offer, Foyth will be delighted to join the Poch Revolution.

If we sell Wimmer, then Toby, Jan, Davinson and Eric Dier will be our first choice CBs, and Poch will presumably evaluate Foyth against CCV in training to see who's next in line.

Given we may be playing the 3 CB formation quite often this season, this could prove to be an astute signing, especially since @Ossie85 informs us Foyth was recently talked of for the full Argentine national team despite his lack of competitive first team football.

And, despite being right footed, most videos you see of him, he's playing LCB. Personally I can't see us buying Sanchez and Foyth.

Given that Wimmer's off, Dier wants to play in midfield and we want to play 3 at the back, I think it'd be madness not to buy another CB in addition to DS

Surely this means CCV will be going out on loan?

No need to have 6 CBs as someone (CCV or foyth) will not get enough game time

Posted earlier this afternoon but, if my reading of this is correct, Foyth is not training with the team.

It says that, but I just saw him training on tv, so it's not true
