Good luck to him but I can't stand Madrid so I hope Barca stuff them on Sat and they continue to struggle, think it would have been better for him long term to wait For the Atletico job.

A columnist for Marca says Juande will do alright, basically because he won't have the language barrier and the adverse dressing room he had at Spurs:

see what your saying but the Atletico job is not exactly the best either. Bit similar to spurs in the way they get through players and managers pretty quickly. To be fair though la liga on the whole has a short time scale for managers, a trend that has been sadly growing in the EPL

Donny I know what you mean about La Liga, but Aguirre has been there for a few seasons now and hasn't delivered much considering they had title aspirations. I know they made it to the CL which probably saved him his job. I'd be real surprised though if JR is in charge at the start of next season, or have Real confirmed it to be only a short term move?

He had TWO good seasons at Seville??? The rest of his career is checkered, BIG TIME!! Unbelievable choice of manager for the so called biggest club in the world. One can only hope the same fall befits Man Utd in our league when Fergie is gone. Can't believe he got the job. I'm glad we got a bit of silverware under him, but I just don't understand why he's rated so highly??

I wish him well, but I don't think he'll do anything at Madrid....prove me wrong Juande!
