Good news. Even if he just gets a place on the bench that would lift spirits around the place.

Maybe a Basle away tie would be a good time to re-introduce him if we have a comfortable lead from the 1st leg.

I would put him at right back. The defence will be solid.

Definitely. I know some on here think he didn't play well there, but I was very impressed at the time. He's fast and likes to get forward as well.

Having said that, he is the perfect CB for AVB's style of play. I just think we'd be better overall with him at) instead of Walker right now.

Every time AVB mentions Kaboul in a press conference he says the same thing "Kaboul is now back training with the rest of the lads" - well, yeah, you've been saying that for a while! Said it again yesterday...

Think even if he is physically fit to play, he'll need at least half a dozen games to get back to speed.

The most important thing for him is to get some behind closed doors action to improve his fitness, do some extra work at the end of the season in the gym and then start pre-season in good shape and ready to prepare for a Champions League season.

I'm not even thinking about having him this season. It has been a write off season for him and hopefully he will be more determined than ever to return better than ever.

I think Kaboul and Vertonghen could become the best centre back pairing in Europe.

We are not quite there yet. :D

Anyone heard anything about Younes? A mate just text me saying he has heard there has been a big set back and that he is unlikely to be back before beginning of next season.

Now my mate knows nothing which means he has read it somewhere but I'm not sure where. Anyone better informed know what's going on with Kabs?

He got a muscle pull in his second U21 game back, and they club decided to let him take the summer and get fit rather than rush. Not heard anything else.

It's all feeling a bit familiar really. Still, this is THFC. We need a perma-crock on the books. A bloody shame they all seem to one of, if not the, best player at the club.

Bale: What did he just say?

Kaboul: You heard the man, there's a new guv'nor in town boy, get used to it.

Given that this season is now over, I'm gonna go out on a limb and say you might be on to something.

If he can start serious training with the squad for the whole period of pre-season, it'll perhaps take him a dozen games to get back to top shape.
