But what does that do for the development of Holtby, Eriksen, Sig, Carroll.
Do you want CL or do you want to develop players?

You need to earn your spot.

If there is any possibility of us having a better player in a given position, I would much rather they played important competitive games than lesser players who are "developing".

Another thing is (I'm not really sure I buy into it, but many people seem to believe there is something to it) if you could choose your mentor as a football player, would you like to be mentored by Sigurdsson or Kaka?

I would like to add that at no point did I state that there is a 100% certainty Kaka will be better than any of our current players, but I think it's highly likely.

He could be just what we need, don't think he'd be willing to come here, and don't think we'd shell out for him though :(

He isn't what we need and thankfully we won't shell out for him, this kind of transfer would be a complete disaster we have moved on from this kind of signing, ageing players no thank you, he would put us further from champions league not closer.

It's not like van der Vaart sucked when he came here... And he was about as slow as a 35 year old on crutches.

Kaka has been playing against teams that have been scared shitless and had 11 men behind the ball his entire career. Holtby, Sigurdsson, Eriksen and Carrol do not come even remotely close to this kind of experience.

Our main issue (as I see it) is being able to feed Soldado with something useful, or even being able to score a goal from open play. We can't breach 11 men defenses and we need someone to do it, Kaka has been doing it for 12 years.

And so what if he has no resale value, this is an investment in getting our foot through the door of Champions League, not an investment into all of us getting butthurt when he leaves for a better club in 2 years, like basically any of the skilled youngsters we manage to develop, and why did they leave in the first place? Because we cannot offer steady Champions League play.

I'm as big a fan of young players as anyone, but Harry proved that having some experience out on the field is pretty god damn smart with vdV and Parker offering us match winning instincts as well as a career of development and just knowledge of the game gathered from playing shitloads of football.

If he wouldn't bankrupt us, I cannot see why we shouldn't get him? He's a fucking Real Madrid player, it's not like we would be buying Heskey, is it?

who cares if he is a real madrid player, he is past his best, complete against the type of team being built. I think he will tank in the premier league if he even comes here, it would be a massive backward step, in my opinion I dont think AVB will go anywhere near him.

Can see him going to Arse in a last minute panic buy, and I wouldn't be too fussed because he isn't at Cazorla's level.

Lots of twitter noise that KaKa has turned down Milan.

Why would Kaká refuse a salary of €5M? He had agreed it in January. Don't even wanna think that he changed his mind cause Özil could leave.
