With Bale going to Real, and Spurs also having cooperation with Real Madrid, we should be able to do a deal for Kaka. If he wants to join us, I would be positive to get him in. I like to sign players who have been out of shape, not in form, lack of scorings, etc, etc... You should always consider players like that.

We don't need a show pony, i have an inkling that AVB doesn't want a show pony, but a tight efficient unit playing well together, signings like this are not for us any more..
How can you advocate getting value for money in other threads then say consider a 31yr old out of form on £250,000 a week? nuts..

Real Madrid have to pay most of his wages, of course. That should be a part of the cooperatioin deal.

I never thought I would hear spurs fans saying "nah Kaka isn't for us"!! Bloody hell times change fast.

My onion is this, he is without doubt an amazing player, saying other wise is ludicrous, it was only a few years back Kaka and Ronahldinio were the best 2 players in the world (now replaced by Messi and Ronaldo). Could he cut it in the prem? Why not? He isn't lightweight, physically he could fit in. His pace has dropped, but his vision is second to none. And how much knowledge and inspiration could he pass on to the youngsters?

The big thing is, think of the merchandise for the club? It's a money spinner, shirt sales would go through the roof, he would raise the profile of the club.

I would take him

But it isn't going to happen. Sadly....lets go for Ronaldinio :)

Please no. Fantastic player but enough is surely enough?* I guess we only have to keep our current players until January.....

*I understand he may well be 'past it'!

Another pipe from a few people now. I have to say that players that have been on a low, or have not found his place in a current club, are very interesting. I know that players like that have not lost their talent. Sometimes they only need a new environment.

Hopefully Kaka stays away from PL. He doesn't fit in our team now. We want young and hungry players and I would start Holtby and Eriksen over Kaka. Absolutely no need for Kaka. Just go to Italy.

If its true that he is available for free, Arsenal might just get some luck towards the end of this window picking him up since they desperately need some new signing; and the price is just right for Arsene, less than a cheesburger.

Hopefully he will go Milan though, even look like they have made room for him selling KPB.

Thankfully this kind of ageing, past best signing, is something we have moved away from. As you say young hungry squad very exciting!

In general, I agree with you, but when it is a Brazilian with the name Kaka, a 31-year old, who is willing to take a paycut, I am up for it. I believe he can fit into our team. You have to think about the PR value as well. Overall we have a young squad now.
We have to make sure not to buy boring players, you know :)

Couldn't care less what his name is! He is well past his best, injuries, I think he will have real problems with the pace of the game here, he holds up the progress of younger players. His transfer has so many negatives. I have no doubt Levy won't sanction this or that AVB would even want him :)

I can't believe what I'm reading in this thread at times.

If there's any chance of us getting Kaka and he'll be well up for it if he gets to play regularly again, all I can say is fuck yeah baby.

Who cares if he's not as good as he used to be. His best was better than anything we've had at Spurs in my lifetime, and that includes Bale after christmas.

Compare it to the vdV transfer, just remember that even though he is a year older, he is still way quicker off and on the ball, he is even more experienced and he's overall even a better player...

He could be just what we need, don't think he'd be willing to come here, and don't think we'd shell out for him though :(

But what does that do for the development of Holtby, Eriksen, Sig, Carroll.
