Well we are not getting him. There is no interest never has been. Good player interesting to see how he does at Leicester. Good signing for them I think he has potential. Being a number 1 striker will tell.

Just don't think he is a poch signing. More likely to be a josh king type that can cover 3-4 positions

We also dominate games and create a lot of chances so I guess Kane is crap too?

Iheanacho has the most goals per minute of any player with over ten goals in the history of the league.
Where are you getting that from, didnt even have the best goals per minute for city last year.that went to jesus according to the bbc site

If we don't get this kid it's because Poch doesn't want him. No other reason imo.

Except that it's well known Iheanacho wants game time and to not sit the bench which he would be doing behind Kane.

City: 3rd string backup in a one striker setup
Us: 2nd string back up in a one striker setup
Leicester: Starting striker in a two striker setup

He didn't get it last year because he didn't play last year because Pep doesn't rate him. Taking advantage of managers' specific (often strange) preferences in top sides with loads of talent is about the best value you can find in the world. Just like when Jose didn't rate Mata at Chelsea and sold him to United or Cech to Arsenal.

The part where you suggested £ 50 million pounds plus Iheanacho....nothing just disagree with your evaluation.
why though? if Swansea are saying no to 40 for Sigurdsson and Man Utd are signing Lukaku for 75.. then the best right back in the league can easily cost something in between.

Man City are likely to pay high if you don't include one or their players in the deal, we can dictate the price if we just sell Walker but if you include Iheanacho then their bargaining position gets stronger so talk of bringing in this guy + £40m is just utter delusion and it's never going to happen.

Might prove to be, but as they want Walker and Spurs don't have to sell it makes sense from Spurs' point of view to demand high and settle lower. Or not at all and Walker stays. Spurs don't have to accept a lower fee right now. If City want him, they have to show it.

I'd probably take £30 million and Iheanacho for Walker. I think he does fit into the squad as he's a bit more versatile than Janssen and we could use a third forward. I'm sure he wants more game time but there won't be many young players who would turn down the opportunity of working with Poch.

I think there is a price clubs put up to scare off enquiries. Swansea is one such club w.r.t Siggurdson. However a true valuation is a bit different. I think £45-50 million is excellent value....although i must say i don't advocate strengthening a rival team for the title.

Edit. Just seen shadydan's reply to you. Although i would think you were optimistic in your valuation.

and setting a high price for Walker doesn't do the same? if the intention is to keep him, then it attempts that, and if City are serious, especially as Alves is going to PSG shortly, they will need to pay up.

The whole of football is unrealistic at the moment. If it's optimistic to want top dollar plus extra from Man City for one of the club's prized assets and the best RB in the league who happens to be an England international (ie, a position they released 2 players from, and missed out on an alternative, and of a nationality they are short of), then that's just fine..

Just remember, that 45-50m doesn't buy as much as it used to, even with Trippier and KWP in the picture. If it's possible to scare the suitors off, great! If it means gouging them for as much as you can to pay over the odds for a suitable replacement (or addition to the squad), then that's how it has to be in a distorted market. I really don't see setting a high price for Walker as being that outrageous - unless you are actively trying to sell, which doesn't seem to be the case.

Oh well. Won't happen anyway, this player will go to Leicester. If clubs are going to collect player they don't use, they can control the market and choose where the player goes. Chelsea, for example, have already brought in 70m from outcasts.

Might well change if the player starts trying to force a move. I'd guess this is what City are holding out for.

Yep, that would be the next step if he's serious. We'll see. I guess he's still on holiday? haven't seen him in the pics yet.
